My son attended infant class 100 for ~ 12 hours over 3 days and I could not get him out of there fast enough. Starting with the objectives I observed - the licensure rules in clear violation include no sign in/out procedure, lack of direct supervision during meal/snack time, infants were not always held while drinking from a bottle, lack of restraint used while sitting in a highchair, and complete disregard for safe sleep practices. Other concerning behavior I noted included turning their backs to infants left on the changing pad without restraints in use and lifting infants from the floor and saucers by their hands - sure way to dislocate an elbow and end up in the emergency room with a Nursemaid's elbow. The final straw was watching my son in a bouncer on the camera for 10 minutes straight with a sensory blanket over his face, his entire face covered, arms and legs flailing. I have no idea the true length of time the blanket was covering his face or the how/why the blanket was over his face in the first place. What I do know from the camera footage is this - the caregiver walked around him the entire time I was viewing, and one of two things happened, either she did not see the blanket over his face which is a problem, or she saw the blanket and did not remove it which is also a problem. Finally, I have not heard a word from any management/director since my call to unenroll my child from their care due to safety concerns nor was I spoken to when I went in person to retrieve his belongings. This affirms to me they are aware of the level of care they offer, do not care, and sadly know the next desperate parent will take the infant daycare spot. We are all desperate for childcare, trust me I wanted that daycare spot to work for my own convenience, but my child's safety is not worth convenience. It was clear we have different views on what appropriate SAFE childcare truly is. This classroom is set up to fail, the staff is lacking support and overwhelmed. Accidents happen but this classroom is
