Editorial review from Citysearch 10/26/2013

Kids 'R' Kids is a great school. My child went there for three years and was very prepared for kindergarten. I loved that they had male and female teachers that played and interacted with the kids inside and outside the classroom. The owner, Mr. Charles, does a mother-son and father-daughter dance that's one of many extras you get still Kids 'r' Kids. more

Great begining disappointing ending 7/20/2011

SERIOUS communication issues and high turnover. My son attended Kids R Kids for three years and I just pulled him out. He started when he was two and I have to say that Ms. Bridgett, Ms. Abbey, Mr. Chris were wonderful! When he moved into room 350 and the teachers were Mr. Q and Ms. Becky that too was an awesome experience it was a great blend of nuture and stern discipline. Unfortunately it was pretty much down hill after rm 350. In room 400 before Ms. Kristen left. I was so glad she was in that room to help me prepare my son for kindergarten. Ms. Kristen was awesome with the kids and she loved to teach and watch the kids learn. What was ironic was that Ms. Kristen was not the head teacher; Ms. Jessica was and in my opinion and many other parents that was one of Managements most notable mistakes. Ms. Jessica is lazy!! Anytime I checked the camera to check on my son she was sitting down or leaning on something. Ms. Kristen was always moving about with the kids. Ms. Kristen even created cards so the kids could practice sight words something Ms. Jessica did not want to continue doing after Ms. Kristen moved onto other endeavors. When you voice concerns to Mr. Waddell he is quick to dismiss what you are saying especially if you are a woman and he goes overboard to defend staffers even when a number of parents are voicing the same concerns. Mr. Levi comes across in the begining as if he will address matters but then you will find that he is a puppet to Mr. Waddell and tends to follow how Mr. Waddell addresses issues. Unfortunately bringing anything to the attention of Mr. Charles who owns the facility is a mute point since he and Mr. Waddell have a long history and Mr. Waddell coached his son in football. If your kid is going to be moved into another class room do not expect correspondence until a few days after the move has already been done. If your told by Mr. Charles that your son or daugher will be going on a field trip every Monday once they enter room 500 expect every other Monday or two Monday's out of the month. If there is a situation with a kid who has lice in one room for example 350 Mr. Waddell is opposed to parents knowing what room the outbreak was actually in. Parents have had to deal with situations of teachers taunting their children and picking on them...yes I said the Teachers not the kids. It is unfortunate that their are some good teachers speckled in there whom have much to offer children however as a parent I think it is important that parents are aware of the good and the bad so that they can make an informed decision when deciding who they will be paying to provide care for their child. I hope this helps..Good Luck!!! more

HORRIBLE!!! 12/3/2009

Teachers are hit or miss, not consistent in training, experience, or education levels. Some teachers are extremely young and inexperienced; possible ""cheap labor"". Owner, director, and asst. directors definitely lack people skills, as well as proper management training. I would not trust the staff in the event of an emergency. I have taken my children out of this facility. Please review BBB report for this facility before placing your child/children here for care. Cons: poor management team, poor communication more

My son has been at Kids R Kids for the past two and a half years. Previously he attended a five star NAEYC accredited program in uptown Charlotte. Pros: excellent childcare from trustworthy, caring staff. Cons: the furthest facility in the town from my house more

Wonderful Care 4/1/2008

My kids have been going to this daycare for about a year now; and we all just love it. The teachers are friendly, attentive and take great care of their children. The facility is clean and stocked full with fun stuff and classroom pets. They have an excellent summer program for school-age children and take kids on lots of fun field trips. The directors are great; and anytime you have an issue they take care of it right away. I've been very happy with this care and my kids have done great there! I would highly recommend it! Pros: Great facility, great staff and excellent educational programs Cons: Slightly high turnover and teachers switching classrooms more
