local children's museum 9/7/2005

This museum is small, but a nice activity for famlies with young children who live nearby or happen to be in the area. The founder is really nice and cares about what she does. I don't know what the exhibits are now because it has been a long time since I was there to volunteer, but I remember there being a variety of fun hands-on activities for the kids. more

A fun place to take the kids 8/21/2005

This is a great rainy day activity. Local to most of CT. Make sure you play on the giant ship. No strollers allowed so plan ahead. Also no food is sold here so plan around your meals and snack times. Geared towards kids under 8 this is a great place to spend a couple hours. Birthday party area is great too to have a party and do some crafts. more

Museum for young ones 8/13/2005

this was ok. My son who is 3 got bored there quite quickly. I thought it was going to be much better but it turned out to only have a few hands on things. Then the price wasn't worth it, $16 is alot for your child to be bored and want to go home. I think they need to have more kid friendly things, knowing they charge alot and that kids of all ages go. I can't imagine a 7 yr old having fun there, it just isnt that stimulating. We won't be going back there. more
