Kid to Kid

I was told to go to Kid to Kid for children's clothing. A co-worker said they had great prices, so I figured I would try it. Not only did I find a ton of clothing for my 2yr old daughter, (Christmas presents included), but they also have a maternity section! I found Motherhood shirts and jeans for $8! Aside from the play area for kids, the two girls working behind the counter actually sang oldies songs to my daughter, which she loved! The lady who rang me up said she was also a buyer and told me when I was done with my clothing, to bring them in and sell them back. She said that while I wasn't going to get what I paid for my clothing, (obviously), they would offer the best prices they could, explaining that higher brands paid out higher than lower ones. She even told me that if I wanted to sell something like a swing and wanted a certain amount for it that they couldn't meet, they would suggest selling it on craigs list. Its hard to find an honest, fun shop, but this is one of them! more

I recently moved here from out of state and was told to try both consignment shops out... Once Upon a Child and Kid to Kid. I went to Once Upon a Child first and was treated rather rudely. I went to Kid to Kid then and was very happy. The buyer, I think her name was Shelly, and the owner were very friendly and cheerful. The owner even volunteered to help me carry my stuff in from the car. The store was bright and cheery. The play area looked a little rough, but looked safe. I didnt see tape like the other reviewer said. I found some good bargains on Gap jeans for my son and Gymboree stuff for my daughter. I would recommend this place to buy stuff from and to sell there too. They gave me a good offer for my stuff and took more than I thought that they would. more

Kid to Kid Midlothian used to be a MUCH better store! The ""new"" owners went through a divorce (they made it pretty obvious) and things went down hill. They lost one of their managers and buyers. It's painfully obvious that their employees are not happy working there, and the manager over them seems superficial and out for her own well being. Things are now over priced, clothing items are old and worn! Toys are missing parts or do not work. There are parts of the store that are literally falling apart. Their toy area is taped in some places where the wood is falling off. There's a hole in the wall that is semi-patched. I've seen children scratch themselves on nails protruding out of the falling apart encasement! I do find some good bargains, the few times I will bring myself to shop there. Over all, it's a hassle and a disappointment. more

After 90 days of trying to collect payment as a vendor ~ they have not paid and failed to return email and phone calls. After a year and a half relationship I am very sorry this has happened, but customers need to know what kind of people they are buying from. more

There were so many great buys!! There was furniture and bedding and toys and clothes, you name it!! Everything was in great condition!! There ia even a play area for the kids, to keep them busy while you shop. The only problem was that their only dressing room was also a restroom. I didn't feel comfortable taking my 4 year old in to try on tons of clothes and keep the bathroom occupied while doing so, when this was a store full of pregnant woman and toddlers, who would need to use the restroom. If they get the dressing room problem fixed I would change my rateing to exceptional! Pros: good quality clothing at great prices Cons: only one dressing room/ bathroom more
