On July 21, 2009 obtained services at Kia Nicol Salon. upon my arrival at 12:30 p.m I was told that i would be finished at or before 4 p.m. The services I requested entailed: weave take out, spot relaxer, wash/ condition/ blow dry, and my weave sewn in. I came with a picture of my desired style, and was given a cost of $200.00 to perform all services under the conditions I would be gone by 4 p.m. Unfortunately, my visit was overstayed by an hour and a half, and my hair was not at all done like I asked, and I was specifically told that the style I wanted could be accomplished by my initial stylist. My stylist tried to settle things with me by offering me a discount of $50.00 which I think was an insult, considering all the time products wasted. The stylist I was given was obviously unaware of proper technique in the service he was attempting to perform, and his lack of skill was quite evident. When management stepped in, I was given the resolution to come back the following day for things to be made right, and only be charge $90.00 or pay $40.00 for sew in removal and shampoo/ blow dry. I came back in July and was given a new stylist Shari. Shari took out the "SEWN IN GONE SO WRONG" rewashed/ blow dried, braided and sowed my hair. Though I was upset by the timing, I was very satisfied with the finished product. So satisfied that i gave her a $10.00 tip on top of the $90.00 I paid at the register. MY MAJOR COMPLAINTS Stylist attempt1: After a recieving a relaxer, my scalp was burned so badly I still have scabs trying to heal. Not only was i burned, but the part that was relaxed was then waxed down, combed very hard with a fine toothed comb, and sprayed with alcohol infested spritz! Not to mention everytime he took the needle in and out of my hair, he stuck me with it. None of these proceduers could have produced the style I wanted. Stylist attemt2: I told the stylist, Shari, I did not want a big braid going across the back of my hairline and asked her to sew it up another way, for personal reasons, and for some reason i still have that braid that is causing discomfort. By July 24th, my tracks were loose and coming out. I had to go back into the shop to have them put back in. now, I am in a whole different state and can not come up to the shop to get my hair fixed because more tracks are falling out. i uploaded pictures of me having to sow my own hair in. If I wanted to sow my hair in then that is what i would have done in the first place. MY DISAPPOINTMENT This is a major inconvenience. I do not enjoy wasting time paying for service that are not worth the cost. I spent 11.5 hours obtaining a service that has literally unravelled before it was even complete. I feel that my time, money, or comfort was valued at Kia Nicol Salon. Never again will I patronize your salon, or reffer anyone. RESOLUTION I would like to request a refund for $90.00 upon my return back to Michigan in cash.
