Khun Dang Restaurant

Not going to lie i wasn't expecting much when i ordered over the phone for pick up but man i had my expectations blown away! Walking up i could smell the restaurant, great smell. I thought ok looks good so far, but how big are the portions? This thought being sparked by the low prices. I pay and walk back home with my dog. get home and open it up and bam the whole thing is packed with awesome looking, and tasting chicken pad thai. Definitely going there again! more

This is one of the best little Thai restaurant secrets in Hollywood. There is little parking... horrid traffic on Melrose... and the worst restroom in the city! BUT does this place does food right!!! I have not had a bad meal there in 9 years. Portions are huge and prices are low. Its the flavors and textures of all their foods from the panang curry to soups and green papaya salad to sticky rice that will keep you going back. The Kung Pric Pork is one of my favorites. All of it done well and with friendly service... They do a thriving take out due to the smallness of the place....BUT if you do stay to eat, just do yourself a favor and don't drink too much liquid... the restroom is outside and outback and well.... you'd rather not have to use it...LOL Pros: MOST Excellent food and price Cons: little parking and tiny, ugly restroom more
