After searching some of the other stores in Fresno I came to Khalsa Fabrics for my sari. Though it was kind of hard to find, Khalsa had a wide selection of saris and also offered a customize your own sari option which was pretty cool. The prices were reasonable and they had friendly service. : ) more

I have been shopping here since it opened and LOVE this place! The owner is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and her kids are pretty nice, too. Everyone goes out of their way to help. And, they don't smother you like the other stores. I get the freedom to look around on my own for a bit, if I want to. She ALWAYS has the newest things. And her prices are good too. I brought my cousin here and she was pissed because she saw the same things she purchased at that new Gobind place for half the price. I LOVE the fact that I don't have to BARGAIN... it's what I hate about other places. I have bought quite a few saris here. So, for the first comment, It should be OBVIOUS that you have to pay for blouse stitching. It's the same anywhere. If the owner says the sari is ""100,"" it is. You can take what she shows you for that much then and there. Why would you expect her to sew the top for you for FREE??? That's just stupid on your part. It should be common sense. And if there is no pettcoat there, then you have to buy one. From experience, some have a petticoat included and some don't. So she tells you to buy it from her since she payed extra. And 100 for a sari is EXTREMELY GOOD!!! ALL-in-all, this place is really great. We did most of my sister's WEDDING AND ENGAGEMENT shopping here. We took days and kept changing our mind but the owner was always helpful. She even brought us chai and cookies which I've never seen at other places. We're definitely coming back for my wedding!!! :-) more

Wow, talk about a rip off. I have NEVER gone to the biggest rip-off store in my life. DO NOT SHOP HERE. She sells the same stuff people sell online, but she charges twice as much for it. The store owner, the lady, is totally nice to you when you walk in but underhandedly says things to you about how her prices are the best when if you look around town and online, the SAME suits/sarees are MUCH cheaper. She will charge you an arm and a leg for EVERYTHING. She charges tax on items that shouldn't be taxed and is a HUGE FRAUD. I am going to report her to the business bureau. If you go to her, make sure you ask her what she charges for every single thing before you purchase something, because one minute she'll say, ""this saree is $100"" and later she'll add the fact that the blouse is sold and stitched separately, and the petticoat is charges separetely and if you want a zipper in the back, that's an additional charge and for extra designs and ghungroo for the back of the blouse (for strings), that's another charge. more

I would never step foot in this store again. The woman running the store is a complete liar. She gives one price when trying to sell and once you're ready to pay, she changes the price to a much higher number. Charges ridiculous amount for stitching. The lady is very greedy and basically lies to get your business. The selection of suits is not that great either. Don't waste your time or money here. Cons: Outrageously high prices, owner lies and changes her prices. more
