Kensington School

I enjoy the schools appearance and cleanliness. However, they change teachers frequently and the good ones seem to leave or relocate. There are a few good ones there that seem to genuinely have an interest in children and have bubbly personalities, while a few others just seem there for a paycheck.\r \r Tuition is higher than other places but I assume it goes back into the school programs and educational materials. Tuition is automatically withdrawn from your bank account or credit card which I personally do not care for.\r \r They used to have an onsite chef make all the food for kids and it seemed they had a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. Now the food is catered in and 'organic' (and organic is not FDA regulated) and seems overly complicated and the kids wish they could go back to pancake Thursdays and grilled cheese Mondays. They are now giving more crackers and soy cookies than fresh fruit.\r \r All in all, the school is fair, but I'm disappointed in how their performance, friendliness, communication, and quality have decreased these past few years. more

I have not had an experience like the past person who reviewed this school. I am an educator myself so I have very high expectations for my children and the people who care for them. The staff at Kensington have always been friendly and professional. Even though they are a little higher than other facilities, it is worth every cent. My children are engaged and happy. Every minute of the day they are doing some sort of activity while having fun. I am at ease knowing my children are well taken care of when I am at work and not staring at four walls, in front of a television, or playing with toys that are developmentally inappropriate. This place is horrible. My child was not watched and ran loose with no supervision. Walked in and witnessed my child on a high bookshelf, while nothing was said. Lack of communication. This place was supposed to be a school and it was more like expensive babysitting. Not even quality babysitting. Needless to say my child was pulled out immediately !!! Would not recommend for any parent!!! more
