The Best Vet!!! 7/5/2014

Let me tell you how wonderful Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital is! My poor bearded dragon was brought to another vet in March for a lump on her back. That vet thought it was an abscess at first and put my baby on antibiotics. We went back at the end of March and she got a second round of antibiotics. It never went away. In April that vet lanced the area and then diagnosed her with a viral lesion. The lump kept growing and I was begging them to help me to take care of it but they kept telling me that there was nothing that could be done with it. I had finally gotten fed up and brought my baby to Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital. The doctor and staff were so kind to me and to her, and I am so glad that I brought her here because we found out that her lump was a cancerous carcinoma tumor! She had the surgery and is recovering beautifully thanks to their care. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent intentive care for their pet. more

Wildlife emergency 6/20/2013

This is the second time in several years that my young son has found an injured baby bird and our family was looking for someone to help it. \r \r THIS HOSPITAL IS ABOVE AND BEYOND THE BEST VETS WE HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING.\r \r Right away they helped my son with his little shoebox that housed this tiny injured creature. The doctor patiently explained they would do whatever is right for this young Robin and in order to better check the bird's health explained how they sedate the bird to do an exam. We offered to pay and the doctor said that they do not charge to take in wildlife but will accept DONATIONS. Never once did the doctor or staff mention to us that we should have called instead of "dropping in" as we did at 8am. They even said they had wished we could have brought him in even sooner. Please donate to this fabulous facility...it is a diamond in our community and has the most wonderful approach to the health and well-being of animals. My son went into school late more

Let me tell you something I can't thank these vets enough, my dog had an infected uterus and could've died if not for the compassion these people showed. Another vet misdiagnosed our sweet girl and was treating her for Lyme disease. After trying several vets including the one that misdiagnosed her ( Berlin Animal Hospital) unless we could come up with an astronomical amount of money no one would even look at the dog much less perform a life saving operation. These people at Kensington B&A hospital are the best of the best. These other vets should hang their head in shame. Our sweet girl is on the road to recovery thanks to the wonderful care she received from KBAH. more

Truly the best vet around 3/2/2011

They really do love animals our kitten ash's first trip he was an absolute angel with them and they were very kind to him as well. reasonably priced very friendly people. after his first visit we called back a month or 2 later to get him his rabies shot and as soon as I mentioned his name they remembered that he was the adorable kitten that they all wanted to take home with them. after being reffered to pieper olsen by them though I finally realized just how amazing this vet is. their refferal to pieper olsen is the only blemish on their record with me and the outstanding care they have always provided my cat. more

Best Vet Around! 10/20/2010

We have brought our three dogs, one cat, and one guinea pig there. They have always been extremely helpful and passionate about the care of our animals. In addition to normal appointments, we had to bring an animal in for emergency as well. They were very compassionate & respectful of us when our elderly dog had to be put to sleep. You can tell that all the employees absolutely love animals! more

The Best of the Best 7/26/2010

I have to say that they are the Best of the Best. We bought two Parrots an African Gray and a Malaccan Cockatoo. We had several bad experiences with make believe Bird doctors. We looked on line for a real Avian Veterinary and found Dr. Giddings of Kensington Bird & Animal Hospital back in 1994. The service is second to none or better said, ?you may fine some as good but non better?. I learned about things like dislocated beaks clogged nostrils. We also are feline lovers of over 40 years. They took care of all my cats including the one the called Grand Ma of 21 years. Our Rabbit just loves the care. They do it all. Each pet is treated as if they where their own. Compassion is also shown in the said times that come along with owing a pet. They are just the best. more

Certified Avian Vets 7/11/2010

They are the ONLY certified avian vets in the area. I was recommended to come here by a woman who raises parrots. She stated that it's almost a two hour drive for them, but is worth it because their bird will get proper care. \r \r I've been going to them since 1992 and my birds have received excellent care. They are very patient and gentle -- very important when working with fragile combative birds. Scared birds bite and they know how to handle them to minimize their fear. I'm really impressed by them and hope to be able to go there for many more years.\r \r They are one of the few vet hospitals who treat injured wildlife! more

True Animal Lovers 6/15/2010

Everyone at KBAAH really cares about each and every patient. They treat you with respect, and understand that your pet is a part of your family. I have brought 3 chinchillas, 7 sugar gliders, and 2 dogs here and have had nothing but the best treatment here. One of my chinchillas has malocclusion, which is very expensive to deal with and also emotional, and they have helped me in every way they can (financially, advice, just plain and simply caring). I will never go anywhere else. more

Treat my pets like their own family... 4/26/2010

I've brought all of my animals (dogs, cats, and birds) to this hospital for over 10 years. These vets really care. They treat me and my animals like we are family. I recommend them to all of my friends (actually several of my friends now go there). You can't go wrong with this hospital. more

I have always been happy with thier service and friendly staff that cared for some animals that I have brought there for treatment. They do the best job they can in treating all animals. more
