Kenny's Shoe & Leather Repair

I had a leather jacket with a small tear in the sleeve, everywhere I brought it they told me they would have to patch it which would have destroyed the integrity of the design. When I brought it to Kenny's he not only told me that they would do a fusion to fix the tear instead of a patch but they also rushed it for me so I could bring it on my upcoming trip. You can hardly even tell where the rip used to be, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who could even point it out. I will most certainly be coming back in the future for all my leather repair needs. As to the reviews about the ""rude"" owner, there is a difference between being rude and being direct. I would call him direct, not overly friendly by any means but I also never got the feeling that he was trying to sell me on something I didn't need. He's a fair owner with an incredible knowledge base, and in my opinion the quality of the work outweighs any personality defaults that might be there. more

I have been going to Kenny's since he first opened up his own business in Blmgtn in 1980. Every visit I've been more than satisfied with great customer service and amazed with how many services his shop provides for his customers along with the highest quality of work from a shoe repair place that I've seen. I will continue using Kenny's for these very reasons! Based on the previous review I decided to use Kenny's Shoe Repair and spent a lot of time and energy, only to get my shoes back with the job unfinished. I brought my shoes to Kenny's before Christmas 2010 and received them only in the middle of March 2011 after many calls and visits of his store. Kenny forgot about my shoes because, quote: ""he had a lot of work!"" So my shoes were sitting in his store for approx. 3 months! During many phone conversations with him he was very rude changing his story and insisting he was, quote ""doing me a favour!"" After I pointed out what was not done when I came to pick up the shoes, he argued with me and started ranting about how everyone loves his work, his clients are movie stars, and come from New York for his service. Okay....so you can't finish my job, that I'm paying for, because I'm not a celebrity?! It was a very unpleasant experience. The work was decent but I do not recommend this place to anyone who expects good service for your money and time. more

I lived in Bloomington and used Kenny and his shop many times over a 12 year span. Anytime I took something to him, it was always repaired to my satisfaction and done on time. They do great repairs on shoes, purses and anything you need. I highly recommend them. Pros: Easy to find, good work, friendly people, lots of parking. more
