KENNEL KARE KILLED MY DOG!\r \r On 5/25/12 at 5:00pm, I took my two English Bulldogs to Kennel Kare for an overnight visit. I repeatedly told the personnel that my dogs COULD NOT be outside in the heat for any length of time. PERIOD. In less than 3 hours after dropping the dogs off, I received a call that my baby ? Sugar Bear ? was dead. I was informed that he had been put outside for 30 minutes. He died of heatstroke!\r My other dog ? Molly ? could hardly breathe from being dragged across the floor with one of those cheap ?noose? leashes.\r I cannot express the anger that I feel for the mistreatment of my dogs. There were precise directions not to put them outside, but they did it anyway.\r I am stricken with grief; I have lost my best friend.\r I have received no apology or acknowledgement that this horrible event even occurred. \r Under no circumstances should anyone ever board their dog at Kennel Kare. Boarded my dog there for a week while on vacation in September of this year, a week later he had kennel cough (Bordatella). This is the second dog I have had boarded there with the same result. The dogs are already vacinnated for the disease but according to my vet the shot does not cover all strains of the disease, just the most prominant, but sanitizing does help prevent the disease. When calling the kennel and informing them their response was 'we sanitize once a week' REALLY? They should be sanitizing EVERYDAY!\r Anyway they said the contract I signed states they are not responsible if you dog contracts the disease while there! So dog lovers beware! It cost me $120 to board and $185 to get him well. Do Not Board Here. Read other reviews online, wish I had before I boarded. Too Scary! more

I love that they have indoor/outdoor runs. My dogs hate being cooped up and love running in and out to keep up with the action! And it is air conditioned inside so the dogs don't overheat silly lol more

I'm not sure whether to recommend these guys or recommend that everyone steer clear of them. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the former (recommend them). The girls up front are super nice. We took our dog there about 4 times and she seemed to love it the first time or two but the third time she went she came home with a rash, and the last time she came home with bug bites on her and her demeanor was really guarded. In all fairness to these people, my dog is a bit neurotic. One thing I didn't like (which might be a big plus for some) is that the kennel goes straight to outside air, which makes for a bloody hot kennel in the summer. And dear lord, is it deafening in there! The owner (female) as well as some of the others at the front were extremely nice and treated my baby with kindness. I could tell this for sure...but I suspect her care there wasn't consistent. I just didn't want to risk it, so I started taking her to her vet, who she loves! So, I'd say definitely try these guys unle more

Great place to board my animals. Totally fine with receiving calls to check on the animals and would allow our dog and cat to spend time together so that they felt more at home. Great service and really feels like a good place to leave your loved animals. more
