have been working out for over 20 years and have been a member of numerous clubs. I can tell you, Future Fitness is full of probems... Starting with their high-pressure sales approach which is full of lies (such as, ""controlled membership size, no crowding, plenty of parking, simple cancellation, dedicated personal training programs,"" etc). After sign-up, the management forgets about you, although the owner, Craig, may yell at you for forgetting to bring a towel. This guy (such a fake) has decades-old pictures of himself posted around the gym of when he was injecting steroids daily. Now the guy wears a wig and always has a fake tan... They're so strict about using towels, however, they fail to offer a towel service. The ""silo"" approach to sales has led this maze-like club to be very overcrowded during mid morning and early evening hours, making it nearly impossible to have an efficient workout, due to the long wait time for machines (especially the cardio equipment). The personal training program is very overrated. Cleanliness is another issue: there's always spare equipment and things laying around, machines are dusty, the ugly curtains covering the walls are very dirty. Maintenance is haphazard: the ceiling was recently spray painted without the club being properly ventilated which led to all the equipment being dusty and the air very unhealthy to breath (this lasted for weeks). The circulation system is terrible; the whole gym feels like a sauna... When you try to cancel your overpriced membership.. good luck; the cancellation process is full of red tape. While the club does offer some nice pieces of equipment, the place is not worth the money. I could go on and on, but basically, the strategy of Future Fitness is to sign up as many people as possible, many of whom eventually become frustrated and stop coming, but are forced to continue paying because the cancellation process is such a time-consuming hassle.. We really need something better in this area.
Pros: some nice equipment
Cons: unprofessional sales tactics, bad customer service, overcrowding, uncleanliness, bad ventilation
