Honest Buyers of Gold Jewelry 7/20/2011

I highly recommend Kenmore Collectibles if you are selling gold jewelry. With so many sleazy gold buyers in the market, this place is a breath of fresh air. Mike and Peter were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and gave me an excellent price. more

Great shop, reasonable pricing, friendly service, highly reputable 8/24/2007

I've never had a bad experience at this shop. Mike and Peter are always helpful and have the newest cards as well as soom older ones for those that like vintage stuff. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the hobby or just looking to get back in. You can go in and ask questions and aren't made to feel bad if you don't buy anything. Pros: Prices, selection, service more

Best Card Shop EVER!!!!! 8/12/2007

This is a great store. Very knowledgeable people. I stopped collecting, wanted to get back into the game and they were very helpful in suggesting product. The products they suggested were not the most expensive. They asked questions and are willing to go out of there way to help or get product they don't have (which isn't much). There prices are decent, NOT expensive. Overall one of the best card shops I have been to. Say hello to Dodger while your there!!!! Pros: Very helpful, Looks out for the customer, not just himself Cons: Parking more

Great dealers and location! 10/11/2006

I work in the downtown district and a pay a visit to the tea party once a week and sometimes 2 a week. For me its hard to go to card shows with my schedule, so when I found out about the tea party on Bromfield St I was quite happy I could keep collecting without using Ebay and worring about other shows. The guys there are very friendly and always give good advice plus you get to pat the dog for good luck before buying. I've been going here alot and I read a previous post and I would have to disagree with his opinion toward guys in suits and what they do when they rip open a box. Most customers are either tourists or people that work downtown. They are dressed in suits for a reason, maybe we should of changed our clothes before going there. What people do with there cards are their business. If they decide not to take the commons the tea party is willing to take them for set making it improves their inventory. If you present them with good business and in good character they will give a little back once in a while. These guys are highly recommended not only for what they have for the present but they have nice vintage as well. Alot of rear items that will make you remember things. Pros: Good Location Cons: Wish it was across the street from work more

Simply the Best ! 9/26/2006

Well first I`d like to say what nonsense a fellow reviewer has said. Mike and Peter must be one of the best double acts in Boston for warm and friendly service. I should know as I come over from Scotland every year with my wife and 8 year old son.The first thing we do is visit Mike and Peter in the shop. They even stay open for us if our flight is a bit late. I don`t normally see suits in the shop it is usually normal everyday people. From guys like myself and son to guys in wheelchairs and many others.Everyone is treated the same and I should be able to tell as I hardly move out of the shop in 2 weeks. The card selection is great and they will get anything in you request. I like signed items and you get great deals on Ball`s etc. I`m Scottish so we are quite tight with money and I always find it easy to get a good deal. I just do baseball stuff but there is lots of basketball , football , hockey things there too. Lets not forget Dodger the dog as well. Its worth going in to see him. I was last at the shop in August 06 and I will going back in Feb 07 for sure. I feel its apart of my trip to go in and I`ve been going there for the last 12years. I`ve been to all the rest of the card shops from downtown to fenway and I can honestly say I only shop at Mike and Peters shop . For me the service speaks for itself. Pros: Service, great range, good deals Cons: It`s not based in Scotland and I have to fly 1000`s of miles to get to it. more

A jewel of Boston 9/26/2006

I work in the downtown area where JJ Teaparty is located and am very happy I'm able to pay them a visit once in a while to check out the latest sports cards, pick up some bargains, and be around one of the very last honest to goodness, good quality sports card shops in the country. Their prices on unopened material is very fair -- a few times I have found they've been within a few bucks of very large, discount online retailers. That's a pretty tought act to beat. I also like them because they have the occasional unopened wax box from the 80s or 90s, which is my favorite thing to see at hobby shops. Their supplies are very reasonably priced, and I know I can get whatever I need there at a price that's very fair. I'm not much of a singles buyer, but they certainly have a good collection of recent, and especially vintage stuff at what look like good prices (you will always do better on eBay, if that's your style, but sometimes you need instant gratification). more

Great shop for all your sports hobby needs! 9/26/2006

Mike & Pete run a great shop. As I began getting back into the hobby, they were both extremely helpful to me and got me caught up with all the new changes that have taken over the card collecting hobby since I was a teenager. There would be times when my cousin and I would spend countless hours in there just talking to the guys whether it would be about baseball or current events. They are both extremely knowledgeable and courteous to any of the customers that enter their shop. more

Small Store with Great Stuff 6/19/2005

I have been to many sports card shops in the country and I like this one a lot. It has a great variety of older cards, something you don't find in most card shops these days. It seems like Pokemon and Yugioh have invaded the planet. Prices are right. They don't BS on the condition. If you ask for a discount, they can usually oblige. more
