I had read great reviews for Kenichi and had high expectations, which might explain why I was somewhat disappointed in the actual experience. My general observation is that Kenichi's is pretty full of themselves! We had dinner reservations for Thursday and it was packed. The hostess was gruff, practically demanding if we had a reservation. Our server was also arrogant. The lighting was so low that we could barely read our menus. Note to Kenichi: Pay the light bill! And there was no sense to the order in which they brought our food -- soups, appetizers, entrees, appearing totally out of sequence. I admit their food was very tasty, though expensive. The Blue Fin tuna sushi and miso soup tempura get high ratings. Oh, and they don't serve coffee, only tea.
Pros: good food
Cons: poor service, expensive, crowded
