My son has played ball for kelso youth since he was 6 yrs old and has had some really good experiences. Over the last couple of years though, I have seen people in positions of leadership forget that this is not all about them and their kids but is also about everyone elses kids too. I have watched my son become very frustrated with his coaches and yet too afraid to say anything because it will adversely affect how they play him. The level of maturity with these coaches has gone way down as these coaches attempt to live vicariously through their children. It really is very sad that a child who loves baseball and has a natural talent for it is pushed to the point of wanting to play elsewhere.
Pros: some really good coaches
Cons: lots of favortism and kids pushed aside
