As of late, there hadn’t been a place that could make this hunger for steak, nice 15 ounce juicy steak so tender that you cut through and all you see are juices and cracked peppers go right onto the knife. I discovered that there is a place called The Keg at the Tempe Marketplace that has done an excellent job of fulfilling my animalistic desire for a well cooked steak to eat. It is a steakhouse and bar, which make an excellent combo for the man or woman looking to have a little drink and great food at the same time, a plus in anyone’s book that fit these needs. At the same time it is also a family restaurant because you don’t absolutely have to enjoy a drink to have a good time and enjoy your food.
The Keg opens at 4 P.M, so when I arrived I immediately noticed the quick service as soon as I stepped into the restaurant. Once seated, the booths were very comfortable and spacious in case you and your partner, or even just you like to be in a big spacious booth. Not only do they have booths, but they also have tables that are just as adequately spaced out as the booths are. When the waiter arrived, he greeted me with the most politeness, which to me is a quality that some restaurants lack, and kindly told me about the specials. I knew what I was going to order so I skipped on his specials and went straight to the main course.
It took approximately 20 minutes to receive my meal, but when I did, it caught my eye immediately. I was asked to cut though the steak to approve of the tenderness and how well it was cooked, and sure enough, it was more than perfect. As I put the first piece of steak into my mouth, it was at that moment that I had found the place where I would be coming for the simple fact that it could make my hunger for a steak disappear before my eyes. The steak was so tender and juicy but at the same time cooked so well with a pink center as anyone who likes a medium-well stake would know. This, ladies and gentleman, was a grade “A” plus steak and I couldn’t find any drawbacks in ordering it. The sides were also very good; I had the mashed potatoes and also mixed vegetables which filled me up after I had devoured the steak.
Overall this place should not be overlooked; the fancy look may be deceiving unless you actually go in and try it out for yourself. I would go back to this place any day of the week again to enjoy any of the meals they have because of the quality of their service. I would rate this place two thumbs up, 9 out of 10 on the scale, a nod on the head, and well you get my drift. I can’t think of a better place to enjoy a steak then at The Keg at Tempe Marketplace.
