Huge selection, everything you need to fulfill your photo desires 8/14/2005

Keeble and Shuchat Photo, or K&S as many people call it, is one of Palo Alto's largest camera specialty stores. It has all you need--including even the most obscure odds and ends you don't. I was looking for a place that sold cleaning swabs that let you clean the CCD sensor of a digital SLR camera. This is a VERY obscure product and very few camera stores have it. I tried calling nearly 10 camera stores before I found one (K&S) that carried this item. I was estactic! The prices here are average. They don't have super deals on cameras like you can find on the web, but the items here aren't expensive and the store doesn't try to gouge you. The staff is knowledgable and very helpful. The prices here are definately fair. Bottom line: the selection can't be beat, and the prices are resonable. A great local camera shop! more

If you're looking to rent equipment, this is a good place 8/5/2005

My wife and I needed a projector screen for our wedding slide show. Unfortunately, none of our friends had one (who does?). Luckily a coworker turned us on to Keeble and Shuchat who we rented a large (7ft x 7ft or so) project screen for around $40. Very reasonable price we thought and it worked out great! You can also rent other type of photographic equipment and they also have a wide selection of camera/photo equipment. On the down side, some of their sales associates have a sacastic dry sense of humor that you might mistaken for being rude. more

Yeah. They've Got That Too. 6/16/2005

Here's a place they can lock me in for the evening and I wouldn't mind. They've got two stores on the same block. One store is all about digital. The other location is more conventional. There you can find everything from magnetic photo frames to tripods. Is there something you're looking to buy, but you wish you could take it for a spin around the block before dropping a lot of your hard earned money. Well, here's your opportunity: rent it first. That's right, rent photography equipment. And if you rent it on Friday you only pay for 1.5 days and return it on Monday. What a deal, huh? There is sufficient parking in the area. And the staff is extremely knowledgeable. more
