It was just another day for me. Long day running my convenience store and could not wait to go home and watch movies on my laptop. I began to download a movie and upon opening the movie, only to see a distrubing image and message telling me I've been had.\r \r I figured I'd just watch something from my PC. Problem was I could not connect to the internet! All I got was ""page could not be displayed"" via internet explorer and the classic ""oops, this is embarassing"" via firefox. You can imagine my frustration.\r \r I took my PC and laptop to several shops in the metro. Although the service was fast the problems arose again after each visit. Money wasting away. I then stumbled upon KC PC Solutions.\r \r I felt like a friend upon meeting the owner and not just another money bag. Within the hour he had nailed down the issue. I had acquired a virus of some sort and a rootkit was found on my PC. He also explained what they were to me so that I could understand. Haven't had any issues since. more

It was pretty embarrassing to have a computer problem I couldn't solve myself -- but much more embarrassing to have my most important hard drive fail and not have any backups. Really, I know better.\r \r I tried everything I could to recover the data off of a hard drive that could not be detected by any machine in my house, but I failed miserably. Desperate, I took it to shaun, and within a few days I had all of my data back. I still don't know why he could see the drive and I couldn't, but I don't really care. I'm just elated to have my pictures and music back!\r \r Two very, very awesome things:\r - He told me he wouldn't charge me unless he could recover my data (never met a tech who didn't charge something just to take a look)\r - He quoted me one price upon dropping off my drive and when I went to pick it up, charged me $30 less, even though I was already prepared to write the check for the quoted amount. He would have totally gotten away with charging me more.\r \r I've learned my lesson, and hopefully I will not need his help again. However I'm glad to know he's around if I find a problem I can't solve. more
