Dr. Kazmer and his office staff were amazing. They were very professional and helped me feel very comfortable while having some minor surgery.

This place will bill your insurance company for frivolous and unneeded procedures , so unless you ready to pay a crazy money STAY away. The DR has no clue what the staff is doing...

This place will bill your insurance company for frivolous and unneeded procedures , so unless you ready to pay a crazy money STAY away. The DR has no clue what the staff is doing and the staff act as if they doing you a favor , they acted like a collection agency for services not rendered until I called them out... Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. more

positive experience 6/23/2010

Dr. Kazmer recently did gum grafts for me. I was very uncomfortable about the procedure, but his entire staff put me at ease. Very professional staff, up front about costs etc. I had a lot of questions, and all were answered patiently. I would recommend this practice. Pros: knowledgeable, professional more

My best dental experience! 2/27/2010

I recently saw Dr Kazmer for a gum graft. I had one in the past, 12 yrs ago, and was not looking forward to having another. I did not have much of an option as my tooth was getting worse. Dr Kazmer took the time to explain how grafts are done today vs. how my last graft was done. He discussed medications we would use and things that could be done to keep me comfortable. I decided to be sedated, that was great - no memory of my procedure! I had a few questions after hours and was surprised that Dr Kazmer provided me his cell and home # on my post op instructions - that's unheard of. Dr Kazmer's staff was great. The office administrators contacted my insurance company so I knew what coverage I had. The dental assistants were fantastic. If you need a gum graft don't worry - your in good hands with Dr Kazmer! Pros: Quality dental care AND a staff and dentist that care! Cons: Nope! more

EXPERIENCED DENTAL SPECIALIST 10/15/2009

I just moved to Apex from Clevland OH. I had a great dentist there and needed to find a dentist to place the two implants I needed. My periodontist in OH recommended Dr Kazmer, I also called around, and many general dental offices said they refer all their implant patients to him as well. My experience has been fantastic, his staff is caring and did a great job handeling my insurance. Dr Kazmer took the time to answer my (many) questions. The procedure was much easier than I expected. I finish up next week, Dr Mayes (my general dentist - fantastic as well) places the crowns. I can't wait to smile again! I truly feel like I am in good, experienced and caring hands. Thanks Dr Kazmer and Staff. Pros: Most experienced implant dentist in Triangle Cons: none, and that's rare! more

Great all-around 9/9/2008

Everything from the front-office to the procedure itself was awesome. I had a front tooth extraction and it couldn't have gone smoother. I was worried about pain/discomfort, but the novacaine injections were near painless and I felt nothing other than pressure during the quick operation. Also, Dr. Kazmer's assistants/hygenists were very good! They were talkative, friendly and knowledgeable. I'd recommend Kazmer's team to anyone! Pros: skilled doctor, knowledgeable staff, everyone was friendly Cons: none really more

A simple thank you! 8/7/2008

I simply want to thank Dr Kazmer and his wonderful staff. I know I can be a difficult patient and I ask a lot of questions; I don't mean to be complex, but I am. This had ""put off"" my prior dentist and our professional relationship suffered. I really appreciate the time Dr Kazmer spent explaining things and the hand holding I received from all. Not only was my procedure easy as promised but the cosmetic improvement was HUGE! The level of professionalism was much appreciated in this day and age where it is lacking. Thanks again. Pros: Truly felt cared for Cons: No Friday hours more

WARNING: Be careful of insurance processing, claims, estimates, etc !! 6/3/2008

I don't usually write reviews, so this is actually saying a lot that I felt the problem I had with this periodontist office was so bad I had to write this. \r \r I saw Dr. Kazmer after a referral from my dentist to have elective work done. I specifically asked for a pre-authorization agreement for the procedure. A week later Dr. Kazmer's office told me what my expense would be and what my insurance was expected to cover. The procedure was completed and they filed the claim.\r \r The claim was denied and my insurance company said they NEVER RECEIVED a pre-authorization. I questioned this after there had been a pre-treat authorization and Dr. Kazmer's office kept disputing that they sent it and they don't know why the insurance compnay didn't get it. I asked them to pull up the copy of it and they said they don't keep copies of pre-authorizations!! I have since talked to numerous dr's offices and they all have said this is unheard of. \r \r Anyway, please just be very aware of any insurance processing and make sure you don't trust this office to do anything for you. Make sure you call and talke to your insurance company BEFORE any procedure, unless you want to pay full price out of pocket.\r \r Otherwise, Dr. Kazmer himself was very professional and friendly with his periodontal services. I will say that if he wants to keep customers (which I don't think he cares about b/c lets face it, he probably doesn't have much of a repeat business) he should have better business/ office practices.\r \r Pros: Nice dr., decent work, and free coffee/tea Cons: office practices, filing insurance, etc. more

Top dentist, I was in an out 11/9/2007

Years after having a bad experience with a dentist, I finally decided to go. Needless to say I was a mess. My dentist highly recommended me this periodontist and told me he was best in town. From the very first consult to now my regular periodontal maintanance visits, my experience at Dr. Kazmer has been nothing but wonderful. I cannot believe a few other reviews here. NOT AT ALL what my experience was (who knows, maybe its his competition or something). Dr. Kazmer not only explained to me the whole procedure in detail so that I felt in charge but because it was going to be expensive and extensive work, he even offered to phase it out for me. We did my surgery and implants in phases and even though I was so scared, I couldn't believe, all of my visits there were literally in and out. because I was nervous, he offered me several sedation options that I did not know existed!!!! I was sedated through IV and dont even remember a thing. The best part is that now when I go to my regular dentist, he just cannot stop wowing at Dr. Kazmers work. I truly feel that my mouth is healthy and don't fear the dentist anymore. He has top notch equipment even for regular cleanings! Love this place! Pros: great doc! great sedation option for high fear Cons: I had to drive from Pittsboro to Cary but I cant have it all right? more

Thank you! 9/19/2007

My 17 yr old son had been rough-housing with his friend (boys will be boys!), and broke his front tooth. I went to my general dentist and he suggested that I see Dr Kazmer. He was unsure if the tooth could be saved. Dr Kazmer was booked for ~3 weeks but came in early to help my son. I appreciate his concern and immediate attention. Unfortunately the tooth needed removing. My son is a nervous person, but Dr Kazmer and his staff kept him very comfortable and made treatment easier then he anticipated. We plan to have an implant placed in a few months. I would recommend this office; Dr Kazmer has a good reputation and treated my son very well. The staff seemed to have genuine concern as well. Thanks for helping us out, we look forward to the end result! Pros: Very helpful, great ""bed side"" manner Cons: My son broke his tooth more

Dentist - Specialist 8/14/2007

Dr. Kazmer was highly recommended to me by my family dentist for an implant. I was nervous about the procedure but felt relieved after meeting with Dr. Kazmer and his staff. They clearly explained every step of the process. They told me how much time it would take from start to finish and the cost. All of their estimates were very accurate. The pain and recovery time was minimal. The staff was very pleasant and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kazmer to my friends and family. I felt the money was well spent for a specialist who has a lot of experience with the implant procedure. Hope this information helps! Pros: Staff was competent and nice Cons: None really more

Cannot process insurance. Hugely overblown and overestimated fees, gouging prices 7/19/2007

Like others, Dr. Kazmer's office really screwed up processing my insurance. Also he way overestimated the amount of time he needed to perform surgery, which of course greatly increased the amount I paid. Basically he works for about $3K per hour. You'd think with all his experience and supposed through knowledge and care that he could better estimate the amount of time during the detailed initial exam. \r I found him to be greedy and uncaring once he has his money. You are stuck. And don't hope for your insurance to be filed correctly the first or even second time. \r Not impressed, just wanted to add my concern to the others I see here-there's too many other doctors in this profession to be ripped off by this one. Pros: Free toothbrush? NOT WORTH IT! Cons: Price gouging, uncaring, greedy, unprofessional more

Great staff, thorough dentist, very skillful! 4/24/2007

I moved here from New York two years ago and started seeing my general dentist who recommended me to Dr. Kazmer's office. I have visited many dentists in my life and I have to say Dr. Kazmer was hands down one of the best dentists. My periodontist in NY had performed surgery 4 years ago which had failed, and I pretty apprehensive about the second goround. Dr. Kazmer not only assured me that it would go fine but also explained my treatment needs in detail! The surgery was a breeze! He performed laser surgery on my gums, because of my medicines I did feel loopy for a day but I was back to work after the weekend. I am smiling more because my gums look fabulous. People have noticed my ""gummy smile"" actually looks good. His staff was very helpful and knowledgable. I did have to pay upfront for my surgery but they filed for insurance later. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for skills and good work. Pros: skillful dentist, great staff, successful surgery Cons: nothing really more

Very professional, great experience! 3/22/2007

Very rarely do I look to post a review about an experience I had, but I was truly impressed. A few years ago it was recommended that I have a soft tissue graft done. After ignoring my dentists recommendation, I noticed that this concern had gotten worse, so I decided I'd better do something done before I loose my tooth! My general dentist had refered me to Dr Kazmer, and come to find out my neighbor also saw him for treatment as well. The office was very orginized, professional and caring. I tend to be nervous (thats why I delayed treatment), but Laura the assistant and Dr Kazmer took great care of me. The Orthodontist wants my teenage daughter to have a similar procedure done prior to braces and refered her to Dr Kazmer as well. He seems to be the periodontist in Cary to see. If you are nervous, don't be. You are in good hands. Pros: Hand down, best dental experience I have had! Cons: I delayed treatment due to fear and should not have more

Excellent experience w/ dental implant 2/26/2007

My general dentist recommended that I see Dr Kazmer for a dental implant. Both Dr Kazmer and his staff were very friendly and I had a very good experience from start to finish. Dr Kazmer even called me at home that night to check up on how I was doing! The procedure it self was easy and painless. Discomfort after was very minimal. I wish I knew about implants sooner, the bridge I had done of the other side of my mouth is difficult to clean under, whereas the dental implant feels like my own tooth. If I need another implant again I would not hesitate to return to Dr Kazmer. I did have to wait about 3 weeks to get in for a consult, but I find thats true with other doctors as well. Hope this info helps. KH (Cary, NC) Pros: Overall excellent experience Cons: Slight wait to get in for consult, but acceptable more

Top notch dental office 1/10/2007

Wow... I can't believe what I read below. I was seen in Dr. Kazmer's office today as a new patient. He came highly recommended by my family dentist. I was nervous about dentistry when I arrived for the appointment, but when I left, I was comfortable and assured. It was a very positive experience for me. The staff members are very friendly, experienced and thorough. Dr. Kazmer took the time to explain my treatment in detail. He is very kind and caring. I was very pleased with the entire process. I will fill you in after my treatment is finished next month. Pros: compassionate doctor and staff, thoroughly professional office more

AVOID! Unless you like pain, no sedation surgery and screwed up insurance 1/8/2007

After reading the above review-I hope your stuff goes well. It's when there's a problem that he knows not what to do except collect money-he seemed real nice to us the first time we met him too. He uses very bad judgment, however, if there's a problem. So hopefully your surgery will be textbook, or you'll wind up like me-with two teeth just about to fall out after 5K worth of sheer H***. Then all you're left with is ""I'm sorry"" and a 5K tube of chapstick with his name on it.............\r Dr. Kazmer told me I needed 2.5 hours worth of surgery on my gums. He said that I would be asleep , nearly so, during the procedure as well as have little or no memory of it. Nothing happened the way he said it would-not the time he charged for-not the sedation he charged for-and certainly there was no compassion for anything other than his bank account. \r The sedation failed completely-but Dr. Kazmer just kept on cutting-even though his assistant was wiping my tears away along with the bleeding tissue. Dr. Kazmer knew the sedation wasn't working, but I guess keeping to his schedule was the most important thing. He charged $5,900.00 dollars for this-and he was done in ONE hour instead of the 2.5 hours he said it would take. \r They screwed up submitting the insurance, we had paid the total up front and we had budgeted the insurance re-imbursment check to us for our Christmas money. Due to them having to re-submit everything, our Christmas money arrived December 28th. My butchering- whoops I mean surgery- was in the first week of November. \r \r Mean little man, stay away, stay WAY away! Pros: Can't think of even one. Unless you like pain that is, and like to pay a lot for it too Cons: Sedation failed completely-and he just kept on cutting! It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. more

No good in handling the insurance claims 4/19/2006

After long waiting ( 3 months??) I could able to get an oppointment (of course when i said leaving the country ..oppointment was created on the fly ..saying some one was cancelled..strange..so to get oppointments do we need to leave the country?? ;-) ) They didn't send the proper documentation to my insurance company and in result of that my claim was declined. when I called them as ususal stories heard from them... lessons learned is ..inquire if everything is done in the same dentistry...if they say tehy refer to some other doc..avoid such dentistries..else pay from ur pocket.. Hope this helps.. RG. more
