\r I went to Dr. Katz today for an emergency visit. I am very happy with my first visit. Dr. Katz was very gentle. I feel like he cared about me and getting me out of pain. I am glad to find a dentist I can trust. I would highly recommend Dr. Katz to anyone with a dental emergency or in need of dental treatment. more

Excellent Dental Care! I've been a regular patient at Dr. Katz' office for almost 10 years now, and the whole staff has earned my trust. I always see the same person for cleanings, and she does a careful job. My teeth feel clean for days! I had a concern with my front teeth at my last visit, and the hygienist and Dr. Katz were concerned and informative. Everyone at the office is friendly, and I don't remember having to wait too long in the waiting room, although I'm sure they run behind sometimes. If you want gentle dentistry and small and personal type of office, this is the place to go!! more

I would definitely not recommend this Dr Katz's practice to anyone considering a new dentist. I am trying a new dentist as i recently moved to SLP. I had the first appointment in the morning - I typically arrive a few minutes early, even with that i was kept waiting 15 minutes outside as the lights were on but no one was in there. I watched as two employees strolled in 15 minutes late, rushing to get everything ready. \r \r The front desk lady was great, very cheerful. However, the Hygienist was not. She was about as gentile as an uncoordinated chimp. She had bony hands. On top of this she kept scolding me about my wisdom teeth (as if i didn't know I needed them removed), how how i am flossing wrong. I know the difference b/w feedback and being out of touch and rude. No compliments, no friendly talk. never smiled once and never introduced herself. Cold as ice. \r \r After a 25 minute wait in a the chair, Dr. Katz, was a charming guy. Nice introduction, but was in an out. i know nothing about him. I'm busy professional, so having 1 hr 45 minutes waisted out of your morning due to complete ignorance will make a person write a review like this.\r \r Believe me, there are much more personable, efficient, and caring practices in the area. more

The main reason I first went to this office is because I'm friends with Katie (the front desk girl), but I have been impressed both times I have gone in for Dental work. First time I had a filling and the second time a crown. Both procedures are not very fun, but they were extremely kind, honest, and accommodating on both visits. Katie is hilarious and very good with people. Both Karen (Dr. Katz's wife and hygienist), and Mary (his assistant), are both very professional and kind, and of course Dr. Katz is very skilled and personable. Getting my mouth drilled isn't that fun, but it is nice to see the crew when I do have to go in. Thanks guys :) more

Dr. Katz is awesome!!!! Katz is my go to guy for teeth and gum. Katz is the whole package. Katz does root canals, implants, veneers, crowns, bridges, my mother-in-law's dentures, cleanings and my whitening trays. My kids love going to get their teeth cleaned. our hygienists Monica, Gina and Karen are great at keeping my family's teeth clean. And Katie at the front makes going to the dentist simple by getting everyone scheduled, my insurance changes updated, my account is order for when I have a co pay and my girls think she is the coolest with her handmade dresses. She is adorable. There is something about Dr. Katz and his staff that is simply priceless. Thanks Dr. K! more

First, I am afraid of the dentist and this is the first dentist in 20 years that I haven't been afraid of. The first visit was with the hygienist for a cleaning. I think her name was Karen and she was very nice and gentle. Dr. Katz came in to check my teeth and everything looked good. Then about a week after my visit, I fell and chipped a tooth. The front desk girl got me scheduled right away with Dr. Katz and He did a great job with my front tooth. My husband says he can hardly tell. Thank you Dr. Katz. You are a rockstar dentist! more

My daugther hearts Dr. Katz office and she is always happy to go. She was afraid of the first dentist she saw when we lived in Duluth but since we started going to Dr. Katz, she is just fine. My husband is a business guy with no time for anything and somehow the front desk person gets him in every 6 months. We had some insurance problems when we first moved to the twin cities with our daugther being covered but the front desk person worked it out with our insurance and everything since that has gone really smooth. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Katz for taking such good care of my elderly parents over the years. My mom has been in and out of the hospital for many months now and Katie at the front office has been great about scheduling and Dr. Katz has just been a god send. He has taken such great care of her from the filling she needed last year to the extraction that he just completed for her last week. And then there is Dad. Dad is 94 and thinks Dr. Katz is just swell. He has been going to Dr. Katz for many years now and it really helps that Dr. Katz can deal with an aging man that may be a little grumpy most days. My dad is always smiling and uplifted when he comes out of his appointments with Dr. Katz. There is a bond between them. Dr. Katz seems to be great with all the patients I have met in the lobby while waiting for my parents during their appointments. Also mom and dad just adore Katie at the front. She seems busy all the time but when you come up to her she is always forced on you and makes you feel important. Dr. Katz did a filling for me last week, it was done well. He is a professional and honest dentist. During the procedures, I didn't feel pain and it was a success. Dr. Katz and staff are friendly and caring professionals. Dr. Katz is extremely competent, meticulous, and skilled in dentistry and patient care. Over the years I have had fillings, crowns and cleanings. All done without problems or stress. This includes work done for my hubby and children. I give Dr. Katz the highest rating. I have been going to his practice for 8 years and only stopped because I moved out of the state. It is going to be a challenge to find this kind of care in my new home city! The staff is always friendly, they always do a stellar job on the cleaning, and I am always especially impressed by their remembering of all the little details in their patient's lives, having babies, changing jobs, etc. I have recommended all my friends to them as they are impressive is all areas! I have been to other dentists and have always come back to Dr. Katz . In the last two years I have stayed with Dr. Katz and have had 2 crowns done by him and had him fix 2 other crowns done years ago by other dentists. I am so glad that there is someone like Dr. Katz in this world to fix the dental problems that I have. My wife and I have always had good luck with Dr. Katz and his staff. There has been a few times that I have not wanted to come to the dentist but with Dr. Katz I don't mind coming to the dentist. The girl up front makes me feel at home and then Mary his assistant comes to get me and Dr. Katz comes quickly in the room and then the treatment and then I am out the door. The front desk girl takes care of the rest with insurance and I just wait to get the bill from their office. I am glad that my wife decided that we should just stick with Dr. Katz. Dr. Katz is a great dentist. He is professsional and caring. When I am in his chair I feel I am the only one on his mind. He is charismatic and trustworthy. He has me his patient of 10 years in mind. We have a great patient/Dr. relationship. I see him around town ever so often and He and his wife Karen who is my hygienist are such nice people. They are a lovely team. I believe he has two other hygienists as well however I have only seen Karen for my cleanings. She is a great hygienist. My teeth always feel so clean after my cleanings. I don't want to even eat after, that is how clean my teeth feel after a good cleaning from Karen. Dr. Katz has done a few crowns and fillings for me. It was painless and he was great about explaining everything that went along with the treatment from what he was doing to the cost/insurance. The front desk has changed a little over the past 10 years I have seen Dr. Katz however the girl they have now (i think her name is Kathy or Katie) is really nice, smily, great at greeting people when they come in and always willing to help with any questions I have. She is a great addition to Dr. Katz's office. If you are looking for great dental care I would make an appointment with the doctor and staff I have trusted for 10 years now. :) Pros: The best dentist I have ever seen more

I was extremely fearful of going to the dentist and put it off until I was in alot of pain. His office manager was able to get me in the same day when I called with a toothache. Dr. Katz explained everything to me and he got me out of pain with such a gentle and light touch! I will not be afraid to go back for my follow up appointments. Dr. Katz has been my dentists for many years and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for friendly, high quality service in a family business atmosphere. Dr. Katz has the most gentle touch of any dentist in the area and really takes his time to make sure every patient gets the attention they deserve. I do not recommend visiting Dr. Katz. He walked into the room, did not introduce himself, and started digging around in my mouth without so much as a greeting. He only spoke to the hygienist except to tell me that I had 5 cavities and needed to floss. Since I floss almost everyday, I got a second opinion from a well respected dentist who said I needed 3 fillings. Not great, but at least I won't be getting 2 unnecessary and expensive fillings.
