Best place for bakery and good wholesome food 8/17/2006

My family goes there everytime we have to celebrate a birthday or we have family coming into town. It is one of the best places to get comfort food when you are down, to have a good time and create good memories with great food around you.\r \r I love the restaurant and everyone I take there loves it too. Good stuff for many years, now... 5/6/2006

The matza soup will re-grow a dismembered llimb...it is that good. Mashed potatoes must have God's blessing, they are to die for. Knish is very good. Service is hurried, but efficient. Chocolate Mousse Cup 4/16/2006

Three cheers for their extensive bakery selections! Our family takes their bagel chips home-- a great choice for a sweet tooth= cinnamon or for salty= parmesean cheese. I personally have enjoyed all the chocolate confections I have tried especially the chocolate mousse cups. Delish! Take one to go! Pros: Yummy desserts Cons: $$$ more

excellent experience 12/30/2005

Going to Katella Deli for our family is a delightful experience. We love to go for lunch and order a plate of pickles to nibble on before our food arrives. There is a huge variety of food to choose from. No visit is complete without stopping at the bakery counter to oogle all the incredibly decadent pastries and to also get a loaf of fresh rye bread to take home (ok, we also purchase several of the decadent pastries to take home also!). more

a PLACE TO TRY! 11/11/2005

We have been there around three times and the food and service have been very good. Very good selection to choose from and a wide variety of food to try. Go and have a good time!! We always have and look forward to the next time we go. more

A DELI THAT'S NOT KOSHER 10/4/2005

Let's be direct....the service was horrible with inadequate food. Upon complaining to the manager on duty I was laughed at and told ""we're not kosher so we can serve what ever we want. Pros: location Cons: horrible service, overpriced w/attitude, non-kosher more
