This store totally came through for me. I had a destination wedding, and I couldn't find the proper dress. I went shopping at some of the bigger wedding shops like David's for over three hours, and the havoc and lack of customer service at those stores nearly steered me away from dress shopping entirely. My bridesmaids and I drove past Karen's after our shopping fiasco. With a bit of coercing, I decided to go in and take one last look. Two women greeted us, and I explained generally what I was looking for. The younger woman paused, thought for a moment, and went to the back to grab something. She brought out the perfect dress in the exact size I was looking for. The only alterations I needed were basic hemming. It was honestly the best experience in shopping for items for my wedding! The whole process took maybe fifteen minutes, and my altered dress was ready to go after a few weeks. My bridesmaids were able to find their dresses as well, and the girls at Karen's gave them the same personalized service that I received. Everything was quick and painless, and we actually enjoyed the dress shopping experience. Smaller shops like Karen's are the way to go when shopping for your dress! They actually listen and deliver what you're looking for, and their prices are great. more

if this is your first time shopping for a dress,do not bother coming here because you will not be happy with the service.The ladies here were nice but clueless about what kind of dress i was looking for and kept forgotting what my budget was up to. Also if they do not have in it your size they do not have the ""thingamajing that goes on the back to close the area to at least give you an idea of how the dress will look like. more

I felt right at home as soon as I walked into Karen's. The women here are so incredibly nice!! They kept the store open late for me on more than one occasion. The dresses are beautiful! She was so patient with me. I have been back 4 times to show people my dress and she always fits me in. I felt so comfortable with her which is important when you need help getting in and out of dresses. And all the dresses have adjustable sizes so you can actually see what it will look like. I LOVED shopping there. And overhead must be lower than other stores because my dress was over half less than I tried on at some other stores. I LOVE Karen's! I shopped at all ""the"" places in STL for my wedding dress and just happened across Karen's due to a friends recommendation. Just a small place in a plaza at Kehrs Mill & Clayton Rd, but I fell in love immediately! Nice dresses all VERY reasonably priced. The owner and family work there and truly make you feel right at home. Ideal for the bride wanting comfortable, personal service that ISN'T snobby like so many other overpriced boutiques. What a warm, friendly environment. The mother and daughter who operate the store couldn't be nicer or more excited for you to be there. The dresses are reasonably priced (nothing over $1800) and they are beautiful. Plus, all dresses are out on display for you to look though. The only con was that the dresses weren't priced on the dress. The best part was that they allowed photos!!! It was just a great experience! I am determined to give them business one way or another- through moms or bridesmaids at least!! Pros: Great environment, warm & friendly; great selection- Photos allowed!
