lots of great titles 9/1/2005

the stuff they have in this place is amazing. As a student I was always surprised that i was sometimes able to find what I needed here rather than at the pricier barnes and nobles or borders. Great easy to find high street location. I reall like poking around this and the other small bookstores and find that the displayed titles are ones that i would never have chosen for myself and always wind up getting a great read at a great price. more

If there's a long wait at Jack and Benny's, pop in here, it's just a few doors down. It's dangerous, because you might get sucked in for the next 5 hours and miss your table entirely. This place is thrillingly packed high with every book under the sun, books decrepit and new, rare and Oprah's Book Club. It's not alarmingly disorganized, but the random piles and overflowing shelves add an air of literary wealth. It's probably the best browse in town I've found, and of course cheaper than going to Borders. more
