In Short
Cobbs Creek is easily the finest of the Philadelphia municipal courses. Designed by Hugh Wilson of Merion-East fame, the par-71, classic-style layout offers an enjoyable challenge to players of every level. The historic Olde Course is a mature tree-lined golf course that was constructed in 1916; the Karakung Course was designed to recreate the character and charm of its sister course, yet meets the challenge of the everyday golfer. The back nine is highlighted by a string of lengthy holes including the 614 yard 14th, where the curvature of the earth appears to come into play.
