I have used Kar Kare for the past few years. Went in initially for tires and was really impressed with the vibe of the owner. Took my car in for some transmission issues, they spent a few hours looking it over, in the end he said I should take it to the dealer because it would probably be under warranty-- he was right, and never charged me a penny for all of the time they spent investigating the problem. This made me a die hard customer. Just today, went in for a nail in the tire and they didn't charge me to fix it. I know it was just a little thing, and I have spent many hundreds of dollars there over the years for various auto issues, but I tell you, these little things really send a message about the ethics of the place and people. They are straight shooters who I think understand the business model that if customers trust you, you will have them for life. It worked for me. Your mind can rest easy if you need a mechanic and Kar Kare is the one you choose. They have started selling used cars as well, and if I was ever going to buy a used car, I think I would go there first. Really great people.
Pros: you can trust them
Cons: because they have such a good business, you might need to wait a day to get your car in
