I agree completely with the prior published reviews. I've been going to Gary for nearly 20 yrs and he has always been trustworthy and an excellent mechanical advisor. He supervises his mechanics very closely and will accept complete responsibility for their work,\r I haven't used the Preowned Auto Dept but his Son is invloved w/ this aspect of the business and I would certainly check them out if I needed a used car.... more

I went to Kar Kare recently because my former mechanics were unable to fix the cold start problems I was having. Gary and his guys looked at the car and couldn't find anything, either, but were honest about it and only charged me for an hour of labor. I'll be back - tomorrow, in fact. These folks are trustworthy-plus! I've been a regular customer of Gary & his family at KarKare for more than ten years and have never been disappointed with the quality, price, or service. They were recommended to me by a friend I've known for years, and I'd rate them 5 STARS on all counts; I agree 100% with the posting by lamorte. I have used Kar Kare for the past few years. Went in initially for tires and was really impressed with the vibe of the owner. Took my car in for some transmission issues, they spent a few hours looking it over, in the end he said I should take it to the dealer because it would probably be under warranty-- he was right, and never charged me a penny for all of the time they spent investigating the problem. This made me a die hard customer. Just today, went in for a nail in the tire and they didn't charge me to fix it. I know it was just a little thing, and I have spent many hundreds of dollars there over the years for various auto issues, but I tell you, these little things really send a message about the ethics of the place and people. They are straight shooters who I think understand the business model that if customers trust you, you will have them for life. It worked for me. Your mind can rest easy if you need a mechanic and Kar Kare is the one you choose. They have started selling used cars as well, and if I was ever going to buy a used car, I think I would go there first. Really great people.
