The competent staff is dedicated to creating a strong social-emotional base for each child - fostering qualities like cooperation and clear communication which are true leadership skills. The high adult- child ratio (1-7) allows for a lot of individualized attention. The authentic curriculum encourages a love of learning. We could not ask for a better school. As a high school math teacher, I have been incredibly impressed with KapKa's ability to give my daughters a conceptual foundation in the core academic subjects. Children learn through hands-on, authentic activities which go beyond rote skills. At the same time, children are learning how to work together and be part of a community in an environment where they are supported by adults. You couldn't find a better start! KapKa is a sweet little school that provides a nurturing, safe, joyful place for kids to learn and grow. Lots of family involvement is a big plus for all and also means a certain commitment of your time. It's well worth it because you get to be part of an active learning community. more

We have had a great experience at KapKa school. Pros: -Wonderful teaching team that are passionate about education and see each child as an individual. These teachers are truly skilled at getting kids excited about learning -So many opportunities for field trips, community service, special projects... it's amazing how much these kids get to do. -Real arts and music- not the cookie-cutter crafts that so many schools do Cons -I wish it was a K-5! The community has voted to expand the school and I really hope to see it happen in the next year or two. - Coop means a lot of time and work. It's rewarding though. KapKa is a great school that is amazingly warm and welcoming. The VERY dedicated staff and the parent body that is deeply involved in their kid's education makes for a wonderful community and an incredible learning environment.
