The Kamikokoro Dojo teaches the art ofA "Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu" which is a culmination of nine separate traditional martial schools that have been utilized and refined for over 1000 years by the Ninja and Samurai Warriors of Japan. The strategies and techniques that are held within these nine schools have been tested and proven highly effective on and off of the battlefield, not only in feudal Japan but throughout the centuries and into our modern world of constant change and technological advancements. This combat system has been able to persevere time and remain highly effective in any circumstance or environment because it was built upon solid fundamental principles such as: natural body movement, balance, timing, space, leverage, flexibility, human physiology and sensory perceptions. The Bujinkan method of training takes these principles and applies them to a wide variety of technical skills which include, but are not limited to: modes of evasion and escape, leaping, rolling, joint manipulation, striking, kicking, blocking, throwing, and the practical use of weaponry (improvised weapons and traditional weapons).A The Kamikokoro Dojo does NOT train for sport fighting events or competitions and has no affiliation with MMA style events. This school is committed to teaching individuals how to protect themselves and others in the most effective and efficient ways possible.
