Kami & Co

I truly do love this place. Often times the main part that separates a business from others is simply the experience. Let me tell you, my experience here has never been less than amazing. It's an extremely relaxing atmosphere with some of the friendliest and funniest people you'll meet. Each one is very professional and kind. I go back to Kami (the owner) for my haircuts although I've had my hair styled by two other very nice ladies as well. I was recommended to go here by a friend three years ago and have been coming back ever since. I have long and thick curly hair (difficult to deal with) yet every time I've left that place my hair has looked and felt wonderful. The price for a wash and cut are also extremely reasonable. ==> I'm a student, so I truly appreciate value for the dollar. I won't go anywhere else! more

OK first off...how can anyone give this place a thumbs down? It's cozy and clean. The staff is fabulous- especially Gina! She's been doing my hair for years and it comes out perfect everytime. The owner Kami is a pleasure to talk to. The services are priced so well that anyone can afford a cut, color and foil! You feel so at ease when you walk in and like a super star when you walk out. Everytime I make an appointment I never wait and their hours are great. They're even open on Sundays! Just make an appointment and you'll see how phenomenal they are. I love it there and wouldn't go anywhere else...plus my hairdresser knows too much about me..lol! more

My husband and daughter both went to Kami and Co. for quite awhile. Nicole is very good at what she does. My complaint comes with my daughter's last visit. The price to cut her hair, blow dry & straighten went from $40.00 to $65.00 without any notice!!! I was furious. My daughter is a teenager and I have never been charged that amount before for what was done. The owner Kami is the one who rang me out and I expressed my concern to him, he said ""sorry we had a meeting and decided we are charging by the amount of time. My daughter was not taken right away so she was there for 75 minutes and was charged $65.00! He also said what do you pay your mechanic, I mean really - he asked me that?? I called my salon (Allure Salon - Northboro - Jocely is great!) and the cost will be $35.00 actually less than they were charging to begin with. My frustration was that we were not notified in advance of the price increase and not to mention I have never seen a $25.00 increase in one visit!!! I don't think he cares about losing customers because I told him I would not bring her back. My husband will not be going back as well. In addition, this salon does not support prices like this. It is run down and has bad parking. Where I go they offer you coffee, beverage etc. I would stay away from a place that conducts business like this!! I feel bad for Nicole - but she should look to work elsewhere. No wonder employees keep leaving this place. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. more

I have been going to Kami's my entire life. When I went to college I tried out a few other places around the area and they just couldn't even compete with Kami and Co salon. They know what they are doing and everyone always leaves looking amazing! The prices are reasonable especially for the amazing service they provide. I never feel more confident than when I leave that salon! more

I'm going to remain neutral about the comment about the former employee. She was excellent while she was at Kami and there are always two sides to a story. Though her lack of communication to customers was disappointing, who are we to judge? That being said, my husband and I both go to Rose now. She is absolutely wonderful. I agree the owner does not know my name, but I don't care. This is the first time in years people actually comment on how much they like my hair and so do I! The salon is intimate, comfortable with no attitude and the staff is all genuine and caring. Not an old ladies salon, not a young person salon they seem to balance both perfectly. more

I had been going to Kami's for over 10 years. It was conveniently located in the downtown area of Westboro Ma. Westboro is a small town were small businesses rely on the type of customers they can familiarize themselves with, and relate to on a personal level. After ten years, the owner still didn't know my name. \r \r They have treated their employees with this same disregard and carelessness. When my hairdresser left, so did I. She was the only excuse I had for contributing to the income of a known cheap-scape/ morally void individual.... If you see the owner with a pair of scissors in hand... run. On the one occassion I mistakenly allowed him to cut my hair, I had a cookie cutter 65+ hairstyle (apparently the only one he knows how to do). \r \r more

I have been going to Kami for 13 years and have enjoyed every minute. The cuts are always perfect and the colors and highlights are unbeatable. The value you get a Kami's is worth it! Pros: Love the people, love the work they do! Cons: Never a problem that can't be fixed. more

I have been going to Kami and Co for over 10 years, I have tried other places in Boston, Worcester etc. and then always come back to have them fix it! All the stylists are awesome, the prices are amazing and my hair always comes out just the way I want it! I have recommended Kami and Co to my whole family and my friends and they tried it and keep going back as well. Rose and Andrea aren't only my stylists...but they are great friends! more

I've been going to Kami for over a year and have had Kami, Andrea and Kim cut and color my hair and I've had nothing but very positive outcomes! Plus their prices are so reasonable compared to other salons I've visited. You can't go wrong with Kami & Co! more

The shampoo in the bottles is treseme and no fire alarms smells like mold and overcharges people the place is just gross and should be closed more

I went to kami and company about a month ago and was very pleased. How you guys could say such bad things is surprising. Each stylist introduced themselves to me and were very pleasant. My stylist knew exactly what i wanted for color and highlites and gave me exactly that. My cut also was the best ive had so far. They offer everything in one shop which makes things very convenient. I dont see myself going anywhere else now... and i recommend everyone to try them Pros: Great environment!!! more
