After agreeing to pay nearly 1.5 times the "regular" service fee for a repair man to come out more quickly, and after a series of tests performed, I was advised by the repairman that I should arrange for a later appointment so I wasn't going to be charged at the higher rate for the needed repairs. I immediately followed the repairman's advice and scheduled another appointment. The earliest appointment I could get for the "regular" repair rate was a week later. During the second appointment, the repair man performed the same diagnosis tests, but this time the repair man told me that I needed a new furnace. I then was billed for both the 1st appointment at the outrageous rate of 1.5 the "normal" service rate, and then again for the 2nd appointment at the "normal" service rate, to then find out that I needed a new furnace. During both appointments, the service men completed the same tests, but came up with two different results and then no repairs ere even made and still costs me an outrageous amount for two separate appointments. As a property manager for over 130 units in a neighboring state, I am more knowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc...than the average person and I understand the costs and service required, although charging a higher rate for same day service is questionable and then charging again for a second appointment where nothing new was completed is a rip off. Proceed with caution!
