Best

Personalized service, excellent food, friendly atmosphere Pros: very fresh food

Worst

they think they always gonna have same amount of costumer so they dont really care about ethics as long as they sell their food!!! Cons: not fresh food time to time

Just OK 2/15/2006

Food was tasty. Tabouli was disappointing--too much vinegar/lemon. Best Greek food is at Kabobs in Brentwood. more

GREAT FOOD! 11/16/2005

The food is great! After moving to Nashville, I was very happy to find this great find in such a cute part of town (Green Hills)! If you go there for lunch during the week, expect to wait a little. Other than that, don't miss out on this place. I have eaten there over 20 times and everything I have tried has been YUMMY!! Pros: Great Food, Usually Quick, Friendly Staff more

You call this ""Middle Eastern""?! 11/4/2005

Coming from Detroit, I'm spoiled rotten when it comes to fantastic Middle Eastern food. Normal people may love Kalamata's, but I was completely disappointed. After reading many glowing reviews, I was expecting so much more. The portions were small and expensive, you had to order your food at a counter (no atmosphere), and everything was served on plastic plates. The staff was friendly and the food quality was fine, but I consider this a ""scraping the bottom of the barrel"" experience if you're looking for good Middle Eastern food. Plus, it's in one of the most congested parts of town! Ugh! Pros: Passable food Cons: Part of town, Serve yourself, Portion sizes more

Excellent! 12/27/2004

I love this place! I venture there at least once a week from across town. The kabob plates are delicious along with the wonderful greek salads with fresh produce. The chef is always very welcoming and entertaining. If you've not been to Kalamata's, you're missing out. Pros: great food, great service, great price more

A taste of Old Beirut in Green Hills 10/28/2004

I just moved back to Nashville after 15 years and was pleased to find the city with a substantially broadened culinary palette. Kalamata's has become one of my haunts. The food is promptly prepared and economically priced, but definitely not fast food; and everything is overseen by Middle Eastern native Mehir, so you know it's the genuine article. The value added is the excellent oud music they always have playing overhead (I always hate it when I go to an ethnic restaurant and they have Michael Bolton playing. It tends to kill the aura). more

Best Med 11/5/2003

Clearly the best Mediterranean food in Nashville to date. I would like to see this restaurant expanded onto a grander scale, a bigger facility with more resources. Quarters are somewhat cramped and output from the small kitchen strains to keep up with a busy weekend night. The food quality is excellent but portions are somewhat small for the price, a Green Hills location premium undoubtedly. Overall, thank God for making a good falafel available in Nashville. Pros: see above Cons: see above more

Not just another Greek restaurant 8/26/2003

I just tried Kalamata's for lunch and it was great! I went for the Tuna Salad sald. It had roasted potatoes, green beans, olives, tomatoes, feta and an awesome light dressing. Pros: creativity, food Cons: size of facility more
