Excellent! 1/28/2011

This was a terrific place to eat. We went there knowing nothing of sushi and never have eaten it before. The chef's there are masters. You tell them if you have any allergies and any likes or dislikes (I don't like spicy food) and they whip up a magical wonder of palate tickling dishes that make you wish you had a bigger stomach. It was incredible. So many things I thought I'd never eat and now I can't wait to go back and get more. One of the highlights of our vacation! Cheers Nick! more

Do you really think they are Japanese??? 5/4/2010

Korean's have been fooling the public for years with their ""imitation"" Japanese. They even wear a Japanese headband, and speak the few Japanese words as you enter and exit.\r Do not be fooled by the Korean scam!!\r Osaka is #!, and always will be. Pros: Nice area Cons: Oh, the food, service more

Fantastic Sushi!!! 4/14/2009

So I was craving sushi at 2:30a.m. and was out with a friend who had never had sushi before, after deciding to be adventurous we looked up ""late night sushi las vegas"" on my handy dandy blackberry and up pops Kaizen Fusion. We were right around the corner from their perfect and easily accessible location. Once inside the vibe was hip yet still authentic. We sat at the sushi bar, which is the best place to sit, and received excellent service from the start. The menu is abundent, and has beginner items to adventurously exotic, with the prices remaining reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Worst Sushi Ever?????????????? 2/18/2009

JUST LEFT Kaizen Sushi- Left my dinner to owner/chef Danny. Sushi, sashimi, rolls....so mediocre it hurts...until I got the bill...then it destgryed me....$162 for absolutly HORRIBLE sushi. Chef told me it was fresh..it wasn't..it was just totally mediocre...Nobu is across the street. If you want to spend this kind of money...go there..or ANYWHERE else. Don't believe me...you've been warned!!!! You need to know this before you go HORRIBLE RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: TOTALLY A RIP OFF more

Failed the chef test 3/24/2008

As a chef I was excited to go here based soley on the reviews I read. To say I was unimpressed is an understatement. I went with a open mind and 20 years of kitchen experiance yet was taken aback by how filthy the open kitchen was. No Sushi case for the fish whatsoever meaning they consistantly hold at the wrong temp. I also observed the dirty cooks wiping there hand on they're chef coats and scratching they're face before touching raw fish!\r I ate my Tempura of no flavor for fear the sashimi would make me sick!. Once again people associate ambiance with good food! Not the case here............Just bad food served by a pretty staff that does not care as long as they keep getting money. What \r a shame because I was looking forward to good sushi.... Pros: Great Location Cons: Worst Sushi in Town more

A Hidden Gem! 3/3/2008

Kaizen is tucked away in a strip mall across from the Hard Rock. I'd imagine most tourists don't get to experience it because it isn't inside a casino, and it doesn't say much from the outside. However, the interior is really nice! casual, but not a dump! cozy, but se x y! the food is also espectacular. I loved the baked rolls! I can't remember everything I tried but everything was delicious!! The Lychee martini was great, and all their TyKu cocktails and shots are good! the staff is also very friendly!! We try to go back every time we are in vegas! Pros: Food, Drinks, service, proximity to the Hard Rock, ambience Cons: trying to get a taxi to come pick you up!!! they like to go to the Hard Rock better! more

Great Place 1/10/2008

This place rocks! The food is tops for Japanese. They have an ecletic menu, with a good selection of sushi and sake. Plus it is a great place to eat before going to the Hard Rock Hotel across the street. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Kaizen is a great place. 10/15/2007

Take this below review with a grain of salt. Him recommending Dragonfly over Kaizen is preposterous. If you look at there menu, they have a very small menu and are more overpriced than that of Kaizen. I went to the Kaizen on Eastern/Horizon Ridge and the service was excellent, food was excellent and it wasn't over priced at all, with a great selection. Also, the complimentary serving of Edamame was a nice touch, so don't let this one guy trick you into not going to Kaizen, as I have gone there many times and never have been disappointed, especially with the great happy hour they have (2 drinks for the price of 1). So, give Kaizen a try, you won't regret it. Pros: Great food at good prices. Cons: Never had a bad meal or drink there. So, no cons. more

I love KAIZEN! 9/12/2007

I went to Kaizen with a bachelorette party group and it was fantastic! Very accomodating, excellent sushi and drinks, fancy & tasty rolls and other dishes, very fun staff, stylish atmosphere, and on top of all that, the price? SO reasonable! We'd been recommended this place from LA and it not only lived up to, but exceeded its reputation! Pros: Drinks, food, service, ambience, big group or an intimate and fun date Cons: It's too far from LA! :( more

Vegas + Sushi + Sake + Relax = Kaizen 9/11/2007

Chic atmosphere, endless variety of drinks, great service, savory sushi - that's Kaizen in a nutshell! I'm a Los Angeles-based sushi aficionado (Tama, Mori, Hide, R-23 and Nishimura are my faves), and I want to set the right expectation: Kaizen in Las Vegas is not about zen-sushi for the purist, it's about those who like to gamble, party, hang out with friends and eat good food at 3:00 in the morning after losing your shirt at the Hard Rock casino next door! Come check it out in the right mindset, and you won't be disappointed! Pros: Ambience, Service, good grub, good drinks more

Best Sushi, Best Bar 9/11/2007

I love Kaizen! Even if you are not a sushi eater, you'll find something delicious to eat on their menu. Their food is creative and always fresh. The atmoshphere is hip, fun and relaxed. They also have two other locations--Henderson and North LV. Try Kaizen; you won't be disappointed! Pros: Great food, good music, fantastic service, easy access, great venue for parties more

best sushi in vegas 5/31/2007

I absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere and great food. It is right by the strip but you don't have to deal with the chaos of getting there. I went with my boyfriend the other day and we both loved it. It's a great date spot or just to drop by for a bite to eat. Can't forget their happy hour specials, 2 for 1 on alcohol! You must try their crispy rice tuna appetizer and bbq roll. Overall, awesome restaurant! more

Great Sushi! 9/21/2006

Sushi Is the GREATEST!! 9/14/2006

I've dine at both locations-Paradise Rd and Eastern Ave. and the food is DELICIOUS...The Snowcorn Roll is my favorite. Also I've tried the California Roll, Seaweed Salad, Calamari roll, and the scallop dish and was TOTALLY impressed with EVERYTHING. I LOVE the Decor. The staff and chefs are very friendly and the music is lively. I'm Addictive to Kaizen and I cannot wait until they open in N Las Vegas in Aliante'....Hurry Hurry!! \r Pros: Everthing is a Pro at Kaizen Sushi more

Makes me want to move to Vegas 9/11/2006

I spent some time in Vegas this summer and became a regular at Kaizen's two locations: Henderson and Paradise Rd. The sushi is incredibly fresh, the waitstaff and chefs are friendly and helpful, and the ambience & decor is inviting. I also enjoyed cooling off with an ice-cold Sapporo at the bar while watching game highlights on the wall-mounted flatscreens.\r The best thing about Kaizen is the orginality of the dishes they serve. My favorites are the Snowcorn roll and the Korean BBQ roll. \r The portions are generous the food is simply succulent. I wish Kaizen would open up a branch in Hong Kong. See you for sure the next time I'm in Vegas! Pros: FOOD, ambience, service Cons: Not enough of these around more
