The Kaferhaus does great work at a fair price. Bear in mind that they can't get parts for pennies on the dollar and that this is a small shop with a small staff, so a fair price may be a little more than what you're used to paying. They will try to help you keep your repair costs down, suggesting inexpensive workarounds to repairs you don't really need.\r

Their diagnostice services are excellent, although they don't always have the absolute latest and most expensive diagnostic gear. They understand their limitations well, and will advise you if you need to go somewhere else to get your problem fixed.\r
\r
Most importantly, if you have gone to 3 or 4 other shops and you still can't get your problem fixed, this is the place for you. If they can't fix it, they will tell you who can. They are well-networked with some of the best specialty shops in the greater bay area.\r

They don't have weekend hours, and there is often a waiting list to get your car worked on. Again, it's a small operation, and their reputation is excellent...word gets around.\r

This is where I go to have any serious work done on my import car...for small, simple stuff, I go to lesser shops.
Pros: Staff's skills are top notch. Very honest and willing to work with you.
Cons: No extended hours, waiting list, hard to get to during rush hour
