We took our dog here once when our usual kennel was full. She seemed to have had her basic needs met, but the lady working the day we dropped her off seemed to be a bit scattered, and when we picked her up after 4 days, she had fleas! She had never had a flea before or since, so this did not please me. She also smelled pretty icky...needless to say, she got a bath right away. In a pinch, I'd use them again, but I'd like some reassurance that they're flea free there first. more

I boarded my 6 mo old golden retriever at K Rods Kennels for four days and I'm very pleased. They are super friendly and clean. They charge extra for nail clipping, grooming, etc and when I picked her up, these things were done at no charge. Highly recommended! more

We have let our dog stay at this kennel quite a few times this year and have been very happy with them. The staff loves what they do and it is evident in how our dog acts when we pick him up and drop him off. The office where you check in is air-conditioned and has several large, caged birds that greet you when you arrive. Cats roam in and out as you check in and they allow you to leave a carrier or home items with your pet if you fear he will be lonely. They let the dogs out regularly to run in their individual runs and I was quite pleased with the entire experience. Sparky medicine schedule was taken care of and we could enjoy our weekend without worrying about our canine family member. PROS: Very nice staff, family run CONS: Smaller size so it can fill up on holidays more
