I Tried 'Em All. KL is Superior. 3/19/2012

My daughter's cat had cancer. We went to EVERY vet in the area. We even took her to Michigan State's clinic. NOBODY gave her the amount of care and creative treatment as KL. Just as important, Dr. Dame cared about my daughter's feelings.\r \r I felt the same way when my cat developed various odd maladies, many years later. In addition to giving a LOT of time and attention to my cat, Dr. Dame listened to me, and let me be a FULL partner in my cat's care.\r \r Maybe I shouldn't be so effusive. If everyone knew how superior KL Cat Hospital is, I would never be able to get an appointment. more

In Response to Brett W's things didn't go well. Medicine, veterinary or human, can not cure every disease or illness. If one questions the care one is receiving, one should seek a second opinion. Dr. Dame is often called upon for a second opinion as a feline specialist. I know for a fact, Dr. Dame would be more than happy to provide all medical records to the second opinion vet. \r \r KL Cat Hospital is the only feline vet clinic in the area. You will not find a more caring environment for your cat. The staff at KL have weekly educational sessions, Dr. Dame and Dr. Hammel research and contact specialists or every difficult or unusual case just as your human health care providor would. more

We've been taking our 6 cats to KL since November, 2003. I could not ask for more knowledgable, caring staff. We've also boarded them on a couple of occasions. We've never had a problem of any kind. Dr. Dame has called us in the evening and at night to inquire after the kitties. I wouldn't take them anyplace else. more

Going here didn't end well 2/22/2011

This place has friendly vets, but don't be fooled by that. My mom took our cat to the clinic multiple times because she was very ill and had several different problems arise (blood in her droppings, stomach issues, not eating, not drinking etc.) And every time they did nothing but either check for worms (which she didn't have) or give her some useless stomach meds which didn't help. In the end my dear cat died at a very young age.. Overall, if you must take your cat here then go ahead, but just get a second opinion from a different vet if you do. more

Great cats only clinic! 2/11/2011

I have been going to KL Cat Hospital for many years. The waiting room is comfortable and inviting. The staff are always friendly and the doctors spend a lot of time explaining things to me. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else! more

I feel sad for the poor person that had such a bad time. If I hadnt see KL I would not have guessed that it were KL. My family of cats has been patients of KL since I moved over to Kalamazoo 11 years ago. I agree that vet care is not cheap and if you want something less expensive Im sure you can find it. I have always been pleased with whatever needs my kitties have had. Not only had Dr. Dames been thorough but the people working with him have been super and have given my lots of help and support. Most Education Vet I've Ever Had 3/13/2009

I recently took my newly adopted stray cat to the KL Cat Hospital to get a general check up and vaccinations. I must admit that I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness of Dr. Dame during the visit. He spent considerable amount of time (nearly 40 minutes) answering all of my questions about my cat's health AND behavior. In my 15 years as a pet owner I've never had such a great, caring and thorough vet experience. I can't believe I didn't know about KL Cat Hospital sooner. If you are looking for a very knowledgeable and caring vet, this is the place to go! more

KL Cat Hospital 1/23/2009

Dr. Dane & staff have cared for my cats for the last 10 years. They are professional, caring, knowledgeable and accommodating. Dr. Dane calls to follow up on illnesses & care after visits which is rarity these days. It's clear that he truly does care about the welfare of his patients. Although I moved to Three Rivers 8 years ago, I still bring my cats up to Kalamazoo for care at KL Cat Hospital. more

KL Cat specializes in cat care. They are professional and friendly, they explain things in detail. They treat the cats with love and affection. Very nice facility! more
