Editorial review from Citysearch 7/16/2012

I started bringing my vehicles to this shop about two months ago and in those two months have serviced both vehicles several times for normal wear and tear issues. The service has been amazing. My vehicles are ready in a timely fashion and the work is always done to my satisfaction. The owner is extremely trustworthy and honest, characteristics which can be hard to find. If you are in need of a mechanic who will tell you the way things are and give you a fair price for the work being done, this is your place. I am extremely appreciative of the work that has been done on my vehicles and will continue to do business with this shop in the future. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful place. more

Great work! 7/17/2011

K&A specializes in foreign cars, German models in particular. However, the mechanics work on all makes and models. The owner is honest and tells you exactly what you need. A friend recommended the repair shop two years ago and I have been going there ever since. The work is fantastic and the price is right. A huge savings over the Mercedes dealership which always seems to be after more money from me to keep my ten year-old car on the road. This is the place to go whether your car is new or a little older. You won't be sorry. The owner is there as he says, ""to help you out,"" not to help himself to your wallet. The owner helped me out on a Saturday afternoon when his repair shop was closed. My car stalled in a self serve car wash bay and I had it towed to K&A thinking I wouldn't be able to get it repaired until Monday. As I arrived with the tow truck operator, the owner came out. I told him what was wrong, he made calls for a part and had me on the road in a little more than an hour. It was an awesome surprise. Honesty, great work and great prices! K&A will always get my business. more

Nice work on German Cars, BMW 8/25/2009

My brother and I have been to K&A for two years now; I am not one to quickly write these blog type reviews. Twice now they have been able to diagnose and repair my BMW 740iL, 1997 with 188K. Only take the hard stuff to K&A since I am a weekend warrior / car nut/ race driver Engineer who likes to fix his own German Cars. First repair was a communication problem another shop (big one) made; was really hard because other made a really unusual mistake. Jerry had to think: ""out of the box"" my words. Second and third repairs were Engine codes and running problems. Long story to describe, but they did a great job and charged good rate acceptable and did not do work that was unnecessary or overcharge. If you have a German made auto that is out of warranty, this is the place to go. If you own a German Car you know they are different/ better and have to be maintained like they were designed to be maintained. My car have never ran as well as it does now. I could keep on writing, but have work. I am a tough guy to please - Car nut Engineer and all - they have met all my expectations and keep my 188K BMW running well. Good advisement too. Pros: Know how to dianose and fix vs. just replace Cons: have to wait sometimes more

Great customer service 10/2/2007

I used these guys to have my Volvo taken care off for the last couple years. They are honest about which work really has to be done, and what can wait, and their rates are very reasonable. They have always been fast and on schedule with their repairs and when they found anything beyond the estimate they would call me to make sure whether to fix it. They only accept cash because they don't want to pay the fees to the credit card companies, which they told me at the first visit and I like, but it might be unusual for most people. more

Beware, they don't take credit cards and estimates ""may"" be misleading 8/30/2006

This place was highly recommended to us and our first impression was positive. Friendly people. We got the estimate, we told them to do the work. They found one more thing wrong, a faulty switch, we told them to fix it as well. When we got the bill, it was $1,600 more than the estimate! Okay, we were willing to pay that, we think he didn't add ""labor"" to the estimate, it may have only been for parts. I've never heard of an estimate like that before, but the job was done and we wanted our car. This guy is not from the US and maybe it's a cultural thing. :::shrug::: Pros: Nice people, they DON'T seem the type to rip you off Cons: Communication isn't their strong point more
