I would suggest traveling a little bit -- go up to the Aveda salon Juut in Palo Alto, or go down to the Aveda salon Atelier down on Santana Row in San Jose, I've had great experiences at both places more

Hair, makeup, waxing, etc. 8/18/2005

These guys do it all, but for some reason they've always left me cold. Their asthetic is nice, they use Aveda products, and everyone there seems capable, but when my usual hairdresser and waxing lady left, I decided to go somewhere else. Partly because of the price, but partly too because, like I said, something about the place feels sterile to me. more

Treat yourself! 8/15/2005

Juut is an expensive, yet worthy place to get a really good haircut. It is an Aveda salon and their stylists are friendly and well trained. I specifically asked for a stylist that knew how to work with curly hair and Louise did a great job of giving me a cut that worked with my hair. Expensive, but better than paying for a cheaper haircut and being disappointed. I'm going back. more
