Juliana's Salon

I was a little unsure about trying this salon. There where so many good reviews and a few poor ones. I took a chance and gave it a shot, what did I have to loose (just hair). I had my hair colored and cut last week. I will say to the other reviews they where very friendly, the cost wasn't outrageous and the service was great! I love my new color Juliana did it and it was just a little different but really shiney and bright. She also cut my hair and gave me a trendy style I thought I was to old for but I was wrong it looks so nice. To the reviewer who said they must have been at a different salon, they must have. It was a very beautiful, clean salon and the stylist were dressed very proffesional. Most important I am NOT a stylsit but definately a new client to Juliana's. This salon moved into our area last year and I decided to try it off the recomendations. I found it very friendly and they did what I wanted. My hair came out beautiful and I would recomend it. I'm not a great fan of Paul Mitchell and that is all they use but It's all in the cut. When I said I didn't like Paul Mitchell they didn't pressure me to try it. I like that! more

I was a little taken back when I read the reviews of this salon. Did I go to the same place???? All I can say is beware. The stylists themselves must be writing their own comments/remarks. This salon is awful, I would not say the cuts are trendy.....the only comments that were not fabricated were the prices ....which are ok.....the salon is borderline filthy ........(hair clippings all over the place) the stylists have clearly no dress code.....pj's would probbaly be a better option than what they wear (neatness should count) but all in all ..... you know the saying ""You get what you pay for"" ...So if your interested in getting a ghastly hair cut...in an unhealthy enviroment this is definately the place for you. I was looking for a new Salon several months ago and I found Juliana's Salon on Citysearch. I LOVE THIS SALON! Everyone there is very professional, friendly and knowledgable. My stylist is Lynelle and she is PHENOMINAL. She gave me a flattering cut, beautiful color, helped me with my extensions...I just love her! My mom now goes to her too and she colored my mom's hair beautifully. (My mom has gray hair and it is really tough to color - no one has gotten it right for years except Lynelle.) I would HIGHLY recommend Lynelle and the Salon! more

I have been going to the Lynelle for highlights for almost one year. Before, my hair was damaged and the color was just ok. I am so happy that I made the switch to Lynelle. Her highlights are spectacular and my hair is now very healthy and strong. My friends, family and even acquaintances comment on how beautiful my hair is and assume that it is natural. (And of course, I wouldn't dare contradict them!!!) Lynelle is truly an artist and I won't let anyone else touch my hair.\r \r Pros: My color always is fabulous. I happen to go to this salon by accident. I was recommended to the salon that was previously there not knowing that they had moved. In desperation for a color and haircut they were able to fit me in. I loved the look and feel of the salon right away. It had a great vibe and energy. I never used Paul Mithchell before and was worried it wasn't what I was used to. I loved the color it was bright, shinny and coved my greys!! The girl Joanne set me up with free products to keep my color healthy. Who knew Paul Mitchell had so much great stuff. After a hair disaster at another hair salon, I went to Julianas at the recommendation of my sister. She had always received good haircuts at Julianas no matter which stylist was. I had an appointment with Lynelle and told her what had happened at the other hair salon. She listened to what I said and ended up giving me a fabulous color correction and haircut (which probably looked better than the original color and haircut I was trying to get). To me, it's always awkward to talk to a stylist for an entire hour or so, since I don't really know them, but she talked just enough. Not too little, not too much. Thanks, Julianas. This was the best haircut I've ever gotten. My stylist was young and trendy, just like me, and she knew exactly what I needed. I was recommended to Lynnelle. The prices are beyond reasonable. i decided to wait until i visited the salon several times before writing my review. I've seen Megan for several cuts and colors and I have to say how happy I am. I've been to hell and back with my hair and i just wasnt happy with my current salon. it was tme for a change so I started researching and I found this salon here on city search. My husband just recently suprised me with a gift certificate to get my hair done. I am a women of convenience and have been going to many different salons throughout my time... and I won't tell you how long that has been, but I will no longer go to anyone but MEGAN. When I called to make the appointment I spoke to a very nice women who asked if I was looking to schedule with anyone inparticular, and recieving a gift card, and also never going to the same styilist twice I truthfully didn't care. When I arrived about a week later the EXTREMELY outgoing receptionist told me that my appiontment had been double booked and if I didn't mind it was going to be a wait, but they would get me in as soon as they could. Now being the laidback person I am i really didnt mind. One of the styilist must have overheard the conversation and made her way over to the front dest and said she would get me right in. She introduces her self as Megan and the rest is history.... What a wonderful young women. She spent so much time with me, she really wanted to make me happy. Megan did my color and haircut and WOW there really is a difference between a box color from cvs and getting some real highlights...and my haircut, well lets just say husband of 24 years could not stop telling me how bueatiful I looked. What a BUEATIFUL, TALENTED, and FRIENDLY young women MEGAN was I will definitly be reconmending her to my two daughters, and all my friends. OH and my oldest daughter is getting married in Feb 2007 and already had her first hair trial with Megan and can't wait till her Big Day. There is a special day every two weeks. With working crazy schedues and kids my mom and I never get time to spend together. At Juliana's Salon Mary Kate and Juliana transform us in to dazzzling gals! We laugh with the warm and friendly staff and our nails, hair and make-up tranform us into glamor girls one more time , which means lunch and shopping after! We look forward to this intimate time and recommend it and Juliana's to mothers and daughters of all ages! Pros: magical! Cons: can't afford every week! more

I have to say that everyone in this salon from Angela at the front desk to Lanelle who washes my hair, to of course Julie who does my hair is FABULOUS!!! I have been going to this Salon for a few years now and they are all very accomodating. Julie is very open to what I want to do....since I always seem to try different things every time I am in there. She is awesome to clients that are hers or someone else's. The renovations she has made to the Salon look great also! I am extremely happy that I found Julie and her Salon and would have to say that I wouldn't go anywhere else. Julie explains why something should or should not be done- which most stylists in other salons I have been to do not. I am always getting compliments about my hair color and style and seem to always be recommending Julie to someone else wherever I go! Pros: Service, staff, value Cons: NONE!!! more

I'm so glad for the recommendation. I had my hair hightlited and cut with Juliana. She spent quality time with me and really showed me how to work with my hair. If you like soap opera's..this is the place for you. Nothing is private. Receptionist is talking about everyone, and constantly on the telephone. Their stylists are not ""city stylists"" They are certainly not up to date with cuts nor color. Average age of clients is over 60. I've gone to Megan for my last 2 cuts and have gotten tons of compliments. She really takes the time to understand what you want and is good about pulling out pictures to make sure we both like a certain cut or look before she does it so we are on the same page. I never feel rushed. I currently have the best cut I've ever had...and it still looks good 5 weeks later. She brought my overly processed hair back to it's natural, healthy state. I've had massages from numerous massage therapists, and I have to say that Maria is one of the best. Maria offers individual service, and is flexible to meet your needs. I have the deep tissue massage, and find it relaxing and therapeutic. I refer all my friends to Maria, and highly recommend her if you want a high-quality and professional massage therapist. I couldn't believe that this had a 9.8 score. Nothing about this place stood out for me. Service was only OK. I had a full head color, and asked to go darker than what I was when I went in, and after 3 hrs, one of which I was just waiting, as my stylist was tending to some one else, my hair color turned out the exact same. Also, the price was no cheaper that anywhere else I went to. I went out of my way to find this salon, based off the other reviews, but I was disappointed and would not recommend it. There was nothing wrong with the color I have, but its not what I asked for, and the service or price would not bring me back. more

This place is fabulous! They have the most proffesional receptionist, Angela. I am a pain in the neck with making and canceling my appointments and she was so nice and accomodating. Juliana's schedual is so tough to get in with I tried Jen and was just as happy. The nicest thing was Juliana still treated me great while Jen did my hair. There is such a team and family feeling amoung the hairdressers, it's refreshing! more

I have just recently relocated to the area and was shoping around for somewhere to have a good mens haircut. I have a crazy schedule and can not always book ahead. I tried this salon based on the reviews. I was very satified with my haircut from Lynelle. She was very friendly. And her schedule works out great with mine. more
