Words cannot begin to describe the poor experience my four friends and I had at this establishment. We all agreed it was by far the WORST dining experience any of us had EVER had. We actually lost count of all of our waitperson's screw ups as there were so many.
After being seated, we were completely ignored for way too long and couldn't get anyone's attention to take our order. In retrospect, we wish we'd just left... especially when the waitperson finally made his way over to our table but didn't have a pen on him to take our order. Rather than waiting for him to go away to find a pen and (hopefully) come back, we simply gave one to him.
Our waitperson appeared to write down every word from our 5 orders, so we can't fathom how there was something(s) incorrect with each and every order. Starting with our drinks, 3 sodas, a water, and a margarita were ordered... 4 sodas arrived. After the 3rd inquiry, the margarita finally arrived at the table. Only took 2 requests for the water.
All of the burger/food orders were either wrong or missing. Wrong toppings, missing toppings, wrong condiments, missing sides, wrong bun... I could go on and on. For example, I asked three or four times for my side of fries and they never arrived. The medium rare burger with no bun that I'd ordered came out as a well done hockey puck on a bun missing the grilled onions and mayo I'd requested. When I pointed out to the food delivery person that my order was incorrect, we expected her to simply ask what wasn't right. Instead, she ripped the plate out from in front of me in a huff and disappeared with it. Their second attempt at my burger finally arrived when the rest of the table was more than half-way through their meals. This one arrived without a bun (as ordered), though still missing grilled onions and mayo. Friend's orders were similar train wrecks.
I must say, our waitperson was apologetic, though completely ineffective. He apologized numerous times for all the screw ups and promised to take one burger and order of fries off the bill. Well... when the bill arrived, not only was my burger on the bill... it was on there twice! We tried desperately to explain to him that the bill was incorrect, but he just couldn't comprehend what we were saying. And yes, he did take the order of fries off the bill... though since the fries never arrived, why would be excited about not being charged for them??? In the end, he offered a coupon for a free burger for our next visit, which we politely declined saying we'd never be back.
If we could have given 5 Star Burgers ZERO stars (or how about a negative 5-stars!), we would have. There are so many burger places in the Denver area, there's absolutely no reason to suffer at this one. Their location is very convenient... we're taking bets as to when this place closes and something new opens in its place. Whatever it is, we all look forward to welcoming the new place, ANY new place, to the neighborhood.
