Hello, \r \r My husband and I visited Linda H. on the 14th of June at Judson park. I just wanted to thank you and the staff for such an enjoyable visit. The grounds were beautiful; the building and her room were very homey and comfortable looking; the food was great (we had Dinner with Linda); but mostly I want to say how absolutely wonderful the staff was. Every single person we spoke with was as helpful as possible, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make us feel glad to be there. Linda is delighted to be there, too, and she unfortunately has had to live in many assisted-living/care facilities for the past 10+ years.. My family member lived in the nursing home area and I urge you to avoid this place if you truly love your family member. And I strongly urge you to find another place if they are living there. Staff is basically incompetent and lazy. Social worker adds new meaning to the word incompetence. Assigned doctor one of the worst. Nursing staff was caught in so many lies it's scary. Go there on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and you will find the staff in a break room reading magazines, eating and having a great time while patients are left on their own. Many of these patients are in wheel chairs sleeping in their own excrement. And it does stink. My family member constantly had bruises where it appeared he was a punching bag for someone's anger and it wasn't another patient since most on the floor were feeble. We'd vist and find feces in the room that appeared to have been there for most of the day. We found excrement on clothes that supposedly had been laundered. Complain and nothing, absolutely nothing gets done. Numerous pairs of eyeglasses LOST or BROKEN. Dentures misplaced for weeks. It seemed like every week we'd get a phone call that he fell out of his wheel chair and was transported to the hospital. These people are masters at coverup and they have so many excuses that it just beats and wears you down. We finally moved our family member after a police officer investigating our complaint suggested we get him out of there. When the police called on the nursing home, they wouldn't let them in! The police were called when the hospital suspected a problem. And while you may find glowing reviews of this place it's a hell hole that absolutely no human being deserves.
