Jubilee Jobs is the best employability class that I have ever attended. The thing that sets Jubilee Jobs apart from all the other programs is that they not only teach you employability but they teach you SELF CONFIDENCE. Ms Theda Fields is a creative and engaging teacher. She uses real to life exercises to demonstrate and teach employability skills. More importantly, she finds the best in each person and showcases those qualities. I have seen the most shy and timid people come out of that class with a whole new attitude! They are important. They are good at something! That knowledge alone can change lives. We need more places like this where people are not just numbers, but where people are PEOPLE. more

This is the first time that I have ever been through this program. I have meet a lot of new friends. We have come together as a group to help everyone out with any problem that someone may have. JubileeJobs has been a wonderful place to me. When I first got here, I didn't want to be here. I felt out of place but as the time went on others in the group started to warm up and opened up about different issue that they were having and I came to realize that I had the same issues. In the past 4 weeks in this program I have come to love myself and I have learned that I can turn my life around if I so chose too. If it were not for the wonderful stuff, I most likely still have doors being shut in my face. I have learned how to interview the correct way, how to sell my knowledge and my skills. I have come to respect myself and everyone that is around me. I would recommend this program to any one and every one that might need it. Thanks to everyone here at Jubilee Jobs. more

I have gone through dhs programs a couple of times, but have never attended jubilee jobs. So I really didnt know what to expect I was also 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time and was required to go to the class. When my instructor saw that I was pregnant she said to immediatley go get a doctors excuse so I wouldnt have to participate, and I considered it. After the first day I was so inspired and excited to attend class that I participated all the way until graduation 4 weeks later. I have realized my gifts that were always staring me right in front of my face this whole time and it took somebody to see my gifts and bring them out of me. I would definitely refer this program to someone who is serious about getting their life on the right track. more

This was my first time going through a DHS program. When i signed up i didnt know id be going to a class daily, but i went in with an open mind. Come to find it was very inspirational. The staff was encouraging and friendly. The classes taught me about skills in looking for jobs, and assisted me with making a resume that got me part time employment my first week attending. I would recoment this program to anyone who is trying to turn their life around. I honestly with the program would have lasted more than 4 weeks. I read other reviews and wonder how were talking about the same program. Maybe its one of the things that just keep on improving as they go, but i dont have any probelms or complaints. :) more

I can say that without Jubliee Jobs I would not have found my fullest potiential as well as knowing a little more about myself. Ms.Theda, Ms. Shadee, & Ms.Diane as well as the other women, (and man), make you feel welcomed, intellegent, understood, & cared for. I see the staff as one big family that understands that you are a person and not a paycheck to them. They put themselves in your shoes. They also see that you are out there putting your best foot forward and don't belittle or judge you. It is up to you as to what you get out of this program, it is up to the Jubliee staff to point you in the right direction. more

This is my 2nd program through DHS work first and it's the best one I went to and I would love to come here and be with the instructors. They are awesome, nice. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't make it this far in life. Case worker is understanding and listens what you have to say. The instructors help you through the hard parts in a interview and teach you what you need to know. I will tell everyone about this peace. more

This is an excellant program if you are one that is serious about getting back on your feet and becoming self sufficent on your own again I found the instructors and the case managers very interested and willing to help me find my inner strength and determination it takes to get back on my feet and to handle the world alone again and still managed to welcome new friends into my life curtousy of Jubilee Jobs so if you are one that is serious about doing your best and not just living on the system Jubilee Jobs is a good place to start more

this place is for #1 if your not black don't go there very racist against other races,#2 you have 5 ppl telling you 5 different things and always get yelled at due to them being unorganized,treat you like a inmate at the county jail, gets you triaged for there errors and not documenting important notes that should be documented,no matter what you do there chances are going to be negative unless your black. It's really upsetting it is like that because I think there is alot of potential there but the employees keep it ghetto and unprofessional. I guess they put it in the hood for a reason. more

If you are a 99er, this is the absolute WORST place to get sent to. The staff including the Asst. Director is highly unprofessional and special 'privileges' are given to relatives of the staff. The first day, one of the members of the staff gave the 'rules' as if she was a prison guard of some sort and the clients were jailbirds. The director speaks the most eloquent of them all but is more concerned with 'politics' (how/why Jubilee Jobs gets more felons, pregnant teens than any other organization) than actually helping to find the clients job opportunities. As ineffective as this organization is ran, the staff should no longer continue to 'wonder' why other organizations constantly fare better and outperform them. more

HOW DO YOU GET INTO JUBILEE JOBS? IS THERE A PROCESS YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH? I AM IN HIGH SCHOOL AND AM IN D3SPERATE NEED OF A JOB. MY GRANDMOTHER SAYS TO GET INTO JUBILEE JOBS BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO GET INTO IT. more

you have fun interacting with others striving to get a job through jubilee jobs but it is not only for teens but also for adults whom need an job. They give training for the jobs that others need to be qualified for it is a great work experience and helpful to not only the white , hispanic, or asian commuinties but also the african american community.
