Yup, I agree with the other reviewers. If you want the freshest sushi, Jubei's is it. They have a medium sized dining area, but I wished their sushi bar was just a little bit bigger. Service is consistently good too. Pros: Fresh! more

Best and freshest sushi in Rowland Hts. & Diamond Bar area 8/3/2006

I've lived in this area for over 4 years and goes to different Sushi restaurants on weekly basis searching for ultimate experience.\r \r This is the only restaurant in this area that qualifies under ""excellent"" category. Always sit at the bar and ordered directly from the chef (Kin-san). Combos from the menu are average quality. Favorite to try: Live scallop sashimi with shell used to bake mushroom, live Uni, live sweet shrimp. Ask Kin-san for his specialty, seared toro sushi (two versions).\r \r The only down side is, not too much wine selection and average service.\r \r Pros: best sushi in terms of freshness and chef's skill within 20 miles radius Cons: Price is slightly higher than Sushi Gen and service is average. more

yummy sushi 7/17/2004

this is what we usually order... saba, masago, toro, sake, unagi. we usually go to little tokyo or the westside for choice sushi, but jubei's is one of the best in this area. also try their shabu shabu if you're really hungry. Pros: tasty fresh, price more
