Joy Luck Restaurant

I used to love this place but the last time I went I was sorely disappointed. I asked if they had new cooks because everything tasted different and sure enough they did. My kung pao chicken was bland and my husband's duck barely had any plum sauce when it used to be swimming in it. They also used to have the best egg drop soup but that was different too. Its a shame. It used to be my go to chinese restaurant. No more. more

Loved this place. Started off with lettuce wraps, which were as good or better than PF Changs. Also had the cream cheese wontons, which probably would have been better at dessert as they were very sweet. All of the main dishes were great. Almond chicken was very light, not greasy at all. Curry pork was fantastic, tasted like the food I tasted when in China. Snow pea beef. All of it was great, and besides the (fried) orange chicken, all of it tasted very light. I would definitely come back.\r \r The restaurant was really clean, modern, and the staff was fairly attentive. Pros: Food wasn't greasy, fresh vegetables, great meat. Good location for me. Cons: Wish I would have gotten the wontons for dessert instead of as an appetizer. more
