A different co. (starts with F) did work across the street. After about four days of their working there, I wound up without a drop of water, on a Wednesday afternoon.
Of course the ""F"" co. took no responsibility. I was without ANY water for over four days! DEP said it was my problem. My plumber had me wait half a day, and then said I should call DEP back. Still no water for me!
By Thursday Evening we made an appt with two Main Companies. Balkan came promptly at 9 AM. the other co just called me back. I signed with Balkan. Frank, the salesman, was most polite. He felt my pain, as I was expecting company for dinner on Mon. evening.
They started work on Saturday morning. Balkan was able to hook up my neighbor's hose to my water supply. I had running water from Sat evening until Monday afternoon from my neighbor. By Monday early evening Balkan had COMPLETED the job!
Praise be - I had water again.
Balkan took the credit card, and a personal check (Large bill, but comparable to all Main companies) Their secretary on the phone is very kind too. The workers were neat and cleaned up and replaced the concrete in my driveway that had to be broken up.
Everyone was sympathetic and I am trying to prove that the ""F"" co,. caused my difficulties. I paid my neighbor $200.00 and supplied her with a new hose. Ironically her hose sprung a leak in the middle of the night on Sat. Thus, even MORE water was taken from her, by my problem.
All around, the only help I received was from Balkan, and my neighbors.
At this point I had to hire a lawyer re: the ""F"" co. It might take over eight years to see if I could get a reimbursement from the other company.
Yikes! quite a tale, but I pray that every living person and animal is never deprived of clean water.
