What a mess, room was draftty, rolls were restricted to 1 per person, some kind of yeast shortage I guess. Waitress orders wrong food from kitchen. Soup tasted like the broth you have to eat for a colonoscopy. Pork medallions had so much wine drenched on it, it is was plain awful. One of our party had to wait until we finished our food before she got her meal from a ""I don't give a damn manager"" No attempt was made to make up for their errors. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. What was suppose to be a celebration, turned out to be a MESS!!!!!!!!!! more

we were going to be in the Hyde area to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and looked for a restaurant to go to after our church ceremony....Josef's came recommended by several friends and it's couldn't have been better........the food was great, the service was outstanding (by robin) ..........and the price was right. Don't go to Josef's Restaurant in Fallston--- Last night we had an interesting dinner with the waitress threating to call the police on us. We went out with two other couples. My husband asked the waitress to give us separate checks since one couple doesn't eat or drink as much as we do. The waitress said she couldn't do it and we questioned her. She finally said yes but she would have to do all the work which might take an extra 15 minutes. We said no problem. When she brought our check she had tacked on more gratuity saying she had to work harder. My husband refused to pay with the added gratuity. That's when she said she would call the police. She backed down and deducted the extra tip and told us never to come back. We spent $93 for an upsetting evening. Can you imagine in today's economy to treat customers that way. Josef's is a great place for a special occasion, but many local people think of Josef's as a place for special occasions only. To really understand and enjoy this place to its fullest, you should know that it's also a great place to relax and enjoy a casual meal on a regular basis. We eat there twice a week some weeks, and we drop in without reservations. You don't really need a reservation if you come early, like between 5 and 7, and sit in the bar. Pros: excellent variety of menu, sincere, old country pride in the cuisine Cons: not trendy enough for everyone, limited seating, call ahead if going later than 6 PM more
