I went to Jori for my very first piercing, besides my ears. She did my nose, so quickly and painlessly, I couldn't believe it. I am going back to her, now years later, to get another piercing done. I hadn't thought about her shop in years, and am so glad she is still around and has such amazing reviews. Great job!! more

Jori is the only piercer I go to. 1/21/2010

My boyfriend and I just love Jori. The place is immaculate, they have a great selection of jewelry and Jori is the sweetest. She always spends way more time that us than she should. :) I recommend everyone to her because as far as I am concerned she is the best in Salem. Pros: She is awesome at what she does more

Friendly service, clean and great overall experience 3/1/2009

The employees are all really nice, and helpful. The price is reasonable, although the jewelry tends to be a little expensive. I got my nose pierced, and they were great about it- helped me pick out the jewelry, made sure I was informed, calm and had after-care products. I won't go anywhere else! Pros: good service, knowledgable, do EXACTLY what you want- will help you with jewelry, placement of piercing, anything Cons: a little expensive of jewelry, and only one piercer so you wait awhile sometimes more

The one an only Jori 8/1/2008

I would tell my mother and worst enemy to go see Jori. Nobody should suffer a bad pierce. Unless they just don't take care of it. I went to Jori for my first body pierce when I was 18 and now I take my kids there. I tell my patients (personally and unofficially, because I have to) that I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've had a pierce or two elsewhere, and while I don't have a specific gripe, I've never been happier with the results or the service. more

Jori is amazing! 3/12/2008

I got my eyebrow pierced at MPG and it was almost immediately infected and after 6 weeks still had not healed. I called Jori Zan's and she had me take it out, told me how to care for it, and when I was ready had me come in for an appt at her shop. Not only did she have expert advice and ask key questions before piercing, she had a gentle touch and it didn't hurt a BIT! I was surprised due to the amount of pain I had from the previous experience. Needless to say, Jori has a fan for life. I have never had a problem with this piercing and always recommend her to my friends. Pros: NO PAIN, great selection of jewelry Cons: jewelry is a bit high priced, but it's higher end quality more

BEST PIERCER!!! 2/22/2008

I have only gotten one piercing besides my ears and I was sorta scared but when i got there it was so clean and they were so friendly that it made it a lot more comfortable. I am very happy with my nose piercing!!!! I recommend to any first-timers!!! more

Best Body Piercer 1/1/2008

I got my cartlige pierced by jori when i was 15 and it didn't hurt at all.On the 29th of December she did my industrial i was really scared and nervouse because it was two holes instead of one..I didn't even feel the needles going into my ear...I highly recommend her to do anybodys piercings that i know i will never go to anybody else to get any piercings. The ONLY place to get pierced... 10/23/2007

People come from as far as Washington to get pierced here; it really just is the best for miles around. Jori and Troy are great, friendly, helpful, and clean. State street is a little tricky because of the high volume traffic. The easy way to get there (and the most memorable main street) is to take 12th St S, turn L on State and get in the far right hand lane. To leave, it is really the left turn out of the parking lot that is killer... try turning right and then left at 25th. Its really easy to turn around on 25th to get back on to State if thats the way you need to go. Pros: Parking Lot, Clean, Friendly, Great Customer Service! And they're right next to Dark Star ( a favorite tattoo parlor of mine) Cons: State Street... but there are ways around that. (By the way, they're closed Sundays and Mondays) more

Excellent Piercing studio 9/18/2007

Jori is great! I won't go anywhere else and I recommend her to family and friends. They are all pleased with their piercings too! The jewelry is high quality and the facility is clean and modern/fresh. Pros: Personality plus, cleanliness, artistic results, high quality products Cons: getting in (or out of) the parking lot from state street can be dicey. more

Best piercing shop for miles around 12/13/2006

Jori & Troy are the most friendly, honest, reliable people I've ever met in this business. The shop is extremely sterile and if your not sure exactly what you want done, Jori has so many awesome ideas. I've gotten over 20 piercings done there and have healed beautifully. If I've had concerns or questions, they are both always there to help...I enjoy their shop and their company so much that I go in there even if I don't need a piercing...just to say hello and see what new products they have. The prices are good and they make you feel very comfortable!! I've talked to many of my friends and they agree...Jori Zans is one of the best things in Salem and I hope they never shut it down. :-) Pros: Very clean, very friendly, great follow-up care Cons: None that I've seen & I've had over 20 piercings done there more

Best Piercer on the Planet! 8/7/2006

Jori is absolutely fabulous! The shop is extremely clean ( Cleaner than most Dr.'s offices!) Huge selection of sterile packaged jewelry. Jori takes the time to find just the right placement for you, and throughly explains every thing! She is the only piercer that puts as much effort into explaining the aftercare/healing process as the piercing. I've been pierced 8 times and have recommended her to several friends and family members, ALL of which have never had a problem and have been Extremely pleased with thier piercing. I highly recommend ANYONE looking to get a piercing to go to Jori Zan's. Pros: Cleanliness, friendly, great jewelry selection Cons: None whatsoever! more

You couldn't meet a nicer, more conscietious person ... as well as skilled & talented piercer. She's pierced me 12 times, and my brother & mom have gone to her, too. She & Troy always remember us & what's been going on in our lives when we go in. I've been going to Jori since I lived in Salem, and even though I live in Portland now the drive to Salem is well worth it!! Pros: customer service, cleanliness, jewelry selection more

Jori is an amazing professional! I have never had a peircing artist take so much time making sure I was comfortable with the piercing I was getting. She also explains everything she is going to do, before she does it. I recommend her to all my friends, and chance I get. more

Best place for piercings 1/19/2003

Jori is a friendly, caring person. Makes you comfortable, explains, takes time with each customer. She is very knowledgeable with all kinds of piercing and aftercare. I've been twice. Knows a lot about the jewelry and can make special orders. Seems very clean and sterile. I had no problems and she recognizes her previous customers - surprised me with that. Pros: nice person, knowledge, caring more
