Jones Farm & Country Store

When it comes to the warmth and coziness of autumn, I like to head over to Jones Farm and Country Store in Cornwall, New York to outfit my home. The store, part country gift shop and part small bakery, offers a wide variety of candles made by national and local manufacturers. Regular beeswax and soy candles in a variety of delicious scents (including pumpkin and apple pie) are among the offerings for sale. In addition to the popular jar candles, there are many tapers for sale, as well as some festive candle rings to surround your glass votive holders. Merchandise constantly changes, with autumn and the holiday season bringing new candle scents. When we first moved to Orange County, a friend brought me to Jones Farm. I bought some baked goods (yum!), browsed the store, and laughed at the animals outside. The store has a really good selection of gift items and cutesy stuff. I love it. The doughnuts are delicious. Kids really appreciate the animals in the yard. more

If you haven't been to Jones Farm, you are missing out! I miss the days where "Jones Farm Day" was an annual event, but they are still keeping me coming back. When you arrive, you are greeted by ponies, Polly the Pig, and various ducks. Inside, Doris greets you and tempts you into buying some of their delicious pies, tarts...and the fudge. They have so many flavors, you cannot imagine. Going upstairs, you have a huge space of country decor items and gifts to choose from. Jones Farm has been my favorite place to purchase a housewarming or birthday gift for girlfriends. Everyone is happy when they see the brown gift box with the green and gold ribbon from Jones Farm. If you live in Orange County, you're missing out if you haven't been to Jones Farm. more
