Jon 'Ric does not subscribe to Citysearch due to the possibility of these types of false comments that go unmonitored and unchecked. Jon 'Ric cannot speak to the legitimacy of the other competitors' reviews made by Maya on the very same day, but Jon 'Ric can speak to the review made about Jon 'Ric below. After thoroughly investigating the matter, nothing in the false and defamatory review of Jon 'Ric made below is true. Maya was never at the Jon 'Ric spa and, therefore, the service was never provided and her check was never cashed. Further, Maya represents that the Jon 'Ric lease expires in 2010. This again is false, as we will remain in our current location for in excess of 15 years from now. Jon 'Ric is an upscale salon and day spa located on the second floor of the Tabor Center where our clients enjoy an exceptionally clean facility and a beautiful view of the 16th Street Mall. Jon 'Ric is very competitively priced. We provide hair, nails, massage, skin care, and waxing. We are an international organization and our staff is highly trained and professional. She removed by waxing approximately 1/3 of my right eyebrow. No exageration. I was extremely angry and called to complain. They said my check would not be cashed however a month later it was sent through the bank. The atmosphere is loud and the staff is 3rd rate. Not very professional. I will not single out anyone, but the manager who I will not name has the class of a prison warden. Not a place you want to visit for a spa day. The other reviewers must be friends or employees. Had to wait to pay due to some computer glitches as they installed new computer system, and could not verify my gift card. Owner felt my time more important than her getting paid. Provided service for free and followed up with a gracious phone call, and another use of card. They know how to treat their customers! Pros: Owner wants to make it right more

I thoroughly enjoy spas but this one was heavenly! The atmosphere is that of a destination spa, very soothing! I received a facial from Emily in a very comforting room with dim lighting and quiet music. I had mentioned that I had a tight neck and she not only did the best facial I have ever had but also a shoulder and neck massage! I came out of the treatment room feeling fabulous. My skin was glowing as well. I will definitely be back to treat myself to another day of luxury!!! Pros: Great location, great staff. great atmosphere more

I started going to Jon Ric in January 2008. I have worked in a salon before and know the types of things to look for. Being the needing person that I am I hate switching salons! I went there and made my appointment with Sarah! She is the best, hands down!!! She is so personable and tells you how it really is when it comes to your hair. My appointment turned out to be ground breaking! I didn?t want to cut my hair, but I had to for my hair to get it in a healthy condition. She walked to me through everything and even though I was scared I felt awesome doing what my stylist told me because it would help me in the long run. I haven?t stopped going to Jon Ric and I won?t! People come up to me and ask me where I get my hair done and I always say Jon Ric on 16th Street. I even have Sarah cards in my wallet that I will give people because she is that good! If you want an awesome salon experience with the confidence that you?re going to leave the salon looking like you wanted to then you NEED to make an appointment ASAP! more

Glen is an awesome hairstylist! I have been trying to find a hairstylist to color my hair the way I wanted it for years now...I have always found stylists that were good, but it was never exactly what I was looking for. I could never find a stylists that could get a darker color to stay in my hair. The color would usually fade in a couple of weeks and I would end of with the same old dirty blonde color every time. I have gone to Glen for about 9 months and every time I go to him, I walk out feeling renewed! Glen is the only stylist I have found that can get a darker color to actually stick in my hair. The first time Glen colored my hair I received nothing but GREAT compliments! Everyone noticed my new hair and complimented how great it looked. He found the perfect color for me and I absolutely love it. In addition, Glen takes the time to actually teach me how he is styling my hair so I can create the same beautiful look at home. He gives me tips and pointers so that I walk away confident and feeling radiant with my new hair. I absolutely refuse to go to anyone else! I have found MY hairstylist! Also, I have used other services at Jon Ric's and have always received the best service. I enjoy going to the salon because I know they are going to take care of everything I need! I have had two of the best experiences ever by visiting the Jon-Ric Spa in downtown Denver. The pedicure, waxing, and facial was wonderful. I love the staff's great attitude and person touch. The spa is spotless. I highly recommend Maxine and Hannah. I do not need to look any further for a spa in my neighborhood that is professional, friendly, and totaly competent! Where do I start? I was given a gift card for Jon Ric during the holidays from my fiance and I must say that it was one of the best experiences I ever had. I was first blown away by the look...this place was beautiful in side. The staff was friendly, fun, and prompt with getting me set up for my services. I received a cut and color from glen and to say the least I loved it and my fiance is pleased with it as well. I also got a facial from Emily and it was fabulous. Both Glen and Emily went the extra mile to explain care, maintance and products answering all my questions appearing to be very knowledgeable about what they do. We visited Denver and family during the Holidays and were pleasantly surprised when given a very generous gift card for the Jon 'Ric Salon and Day Spa. I wanted to write this review to express how grateful we are for the wonderful time we had in Denver with family during the Holidays and the pleasant experience we had at Jon 'Ric. After receiving the gift we went to Jon 'Ric just before the New Year to get ready for all of the celebrations. We were so pleased with the attentiveness of the front desk staff and the overall attention to cleanliness and customer service that everyone was. The spa is absolutely beautiful in every way. I started with a deep tissue massage. The therapist, I believe Martha, was so gracious and professional in her techniques, it was wonderful. I followed up with a manicure and pedicure after the massage. The spa pedicure chairs are so state-of-the-art, I had never experienced chairs like these before. The nail staff were so nice and informative and took the time to explain everything about the service and maintenance ideas. I appreciated this. And the staff was so conscious of the cleanliness before, during, and after the experience. It was wonderful. Denver is lucky to have a spa like this and I will definitely be back when I return. I just got a facial with Emily. She has a very calming way but still explains want and why she is using certain products. I love the Sintas products. She listens well. All in all I give my facial gets an excellent rating. I than had my haircut by Chistina. I wanted sometime a little differnt...but not off the wall. She listens, asked questions and than cut my hair. Again I would highly recommend her. Jon "Ric is a beautiful salon and spa. It belongs in a hotel...but doesn't have hotel prices. I saw their pedicure room and it is beautiful. I TOTALLY enjoyed my visit at this spa. The hair stylist Sarah was so friendly and did such a great job that I have decided to end my relationship with my current stylist and continue to come to her. The massage was by far the best that I have EVER had performed by Martha. Last but definitely NOT LEAST...MIchelle did my pedicure and I LOVED IT!!! She was VERY pleasant, friendly, and upbeat. She made me feel like we have known each other for years. I will definitely recommend and go back to her for all my nail services in the future. I am new to the denver area and found this salon by reviewing online. I was looking for something pretty simple, I wanted to keep a dark chocolate brown with some small blond highlights...nothing drastic. The stylist Glen couldn't get my hair lightened and was so noncholent about it, here I was sitting there after 2+ hrs with brown and orange hair, and all he could say was, we can't get you light so now what....he then decided to cover me with a red.....while my hair was still wet...something a hair stylist would never do. I asked to freshen up my cut and he went crazy with the shearing scissors and butchered me. Not only that, the little pieces of blond that I asked for, were huge chunks. I went home and cried. The red only lasted less than 2 wks, I had to go back and get him to repair it and it still only lasted 2 wks. I would not recommend this salon, well at least not the stylist Glen, everyone else there seems pretty credible, I guess I was just unlucky by getting scheduled with him. AVOID him at all costs...........thats my experience. I then went to another salon....very credible in cherry creek north and they could not believe the mess of my hair, they couldn't believe that an actually hairdresser did my hair. They told me it would be a lengthly process to get my hair back to normal, its also uneven all over. DO NOT have this guy do anyones hair!!! I have walked by Jon 'Ric many times and never stopped in. I have been having trouble with my hair and was looking for a new stylist. I decided to stop in and see if I could talk to a stylist. I meet with Robert, their new creative director and Christina, a hair stylist. We talked for about 15 minutes and they had me sold. Christina had an opening and I had her do my hair. Robert came by off and on to see how it was going and to look at my color. I felt like I was the only person in the salon. ( it was actually very busy). I love my new color and hair cut. I will be back to see Christina again. I took a tour of the entire facility....You should see their pedicure chairs! I need to make a manicure and pedicure appointment next. Jon 'Ric is my new home. We visited Denver and my husband bought a day at the Jon Ric spa for me and I was so pleased with the service and especially the attention to cleanliness and the friendly, well-trained staff. We were visiting from the west coast and my husband was on business and we had social events at night. I had a free day to be pampered at Jon Ric. The services were top-notch and I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of the services compared to where we live. I went back the next day just to have my hair shampooed and dryed for our social event that evening. What a beautiful place. The salon and spa was located conveniently next to our hotel as well as close to all of the downtown attractions that we were interested in. Well.... My Husband booked me an appointment @ this salon last Saturday (Oct. 6th).... it was a surprise birthday treat for me.... He knows how much I love getting my nails done... and instead of taking me to a regular nail salon in the area.... he decided to make it a little special.... and did some research and found this place: JON RIC INTL Salon in Denver.... The salon look very trendy, clean, and the employees were very friendly.... Michelle did my nails.... she gave me both a manicure and a pedicure.... Michelle was very friendly and nice... however.... I don't think the treatment and the service was good at all.... it was short and very EXPENSIVE.... She does nails part-time... and I don't think she has a lot of experience doing nails.... I've had better treatment somewhere else.... much much cheaper than what they charge my husband.... and the worst part was my nail polish was destroyed later that evening.... and the next day "MY birthday" I had to wear a close toe shoes to cover it up.... not open on Sundays so, I couldn't go back to have them fix the problem..... expect to pay $100 for both manicure and pedicure.... and a BAD JOB.... I came to Jon Ric for the first time about 2 weeks ago and am STILL talking to my friends about how great of an experience I had. I had an appointment with Sarah Turner and couldn't have been more impressed! I had extensive damage to my once beautiful, shiny hair because of dying it from blonde to black, back to blonde over the past year. Up until my appointment, nobody else could get my darn hair back to a semi-normal state, let alone to how nice it used to be. I told Sarah about my problem and she cut out ALL my damage without even making it look like i just had a drastic haircut! Not only that, but she had some awesome suggestions on color that she thought would look good on me and, surprise surprise, it looks so great. It's nice to finally go to someone who actually GETS hair and seems to have such a passion for it! I feel like I don't have to scour my brain to figure out what i want done and how it will look because i have a true professional giving me advice on what she knows will work with my face structure, skin tone, body type, etc. I couldn't have more praise. She was wonderful to talk to and really cared about what i had to say--the 2 hours that i was there flew by and there wasn't a moment of awkwardness in our conversation. i'm definitely going back until Sarah retires! it'd be a shame for her not to do hair 'cause she's damn good at it! she should open her own salon... Because my husband works in the Tabor center, I was one of the first to welcome Jon Ric to Denver. My 1st appointment included a massage, a mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. From the charming reception, to the relaxing massage, to the tips of my fingers and toes. I knew I would be back. Based on the service I had received, and after many months settling into the fact that I HAD to do something with my hair. I made an appointment with Sarah. I couldn't be more pleased. My hair looks better than it has in years. The added bonus is that not only did Sarah work a mini miracle, she also taught me as she went along, how to maintain these healthy locks. As she discussed with me what she was doing and why, it became very easy to trust that she had my best look at heart. It wasn't how she wanted me to look, it was how I could look my very best. My suggestion... if you're wondering about a new look, or just the best way to manage your current style, consult with Sarah. Straighforward, honest, helpful and understanding... she'll give you all the 123's and abc's of how to achieve the healthy, beautiful hair you may have only dreamed of. REALLY - I'm amazed at my hair. Becuase the atmosphere and staff are so warm and friendly - I'd suggest brining the whole crew and making a day of it. Jon Ric is easily my favorite place to be pampered. I had some gift certificates so decided to splurge and have their signature chocolate body scrub and massage. Afterwards my skin felt very soft and smooth and everywhere I went, people commented on the chocolate smell. By the end of the day, the scent left on my skin got a little old, but it was pleasureable for a few hours. My specialist, Gail, was very good and I do plan on scheduling a deep tissue massage with her, she's quite skillful. However, I found the massage table fairly uncomfortable. The head rest is not what I'm used to and not very relaxing and the table was hard. The music in the room was nice and the lighting was adjustable to low light. The robes were great and the spa shoes comfy. I enjoyed the citrus water afterwards and combined with the chocolate scent left on my hands it was a nice ending. Exquisite would be the best way to describe my spa experience at Jon ?Ric. With all of the spa services they offer, it is hard to choose where to spend your pampering funds. So if I have to choose, my two personal favorites are chocolate pedicures with Syndia and hair services with Sarah. All women who are endowed with curly hair know how hard it is to find an experienced and well trained hair stylist to maintain those high maintenance locks. For anyone needing a stylist with this exact resume, I highly recommend regular conditioning treatments and cuts from Sarah. Sarah really understands what kinds of care and management is required to maintain curly hair in Colorado?s dry climate. Every time I leave a hair service with Sarah, I am amazed at how fabulous my hair looks and feels. While the entire nail service menu at Jon ?Ric offers a smorgasbord of treats, the chocolate pedicure with Syndia is like receiving a royal Mayan therapy. From the warm soothing water in the Cadillac of pedicure chairs, to the rich aroma of pure cacao and healing energy of Syndia?s precision as a technician this service is a must every time I am down on the 16th street mall. more

We go to Jon Ric's for all our special occasions. Their stylists do great "up-do's" for events like my older daughters homecoming. Their Pedicures are to die for...and I will take my younger daugter for the "angel manicure", which is geared for the little ones. I have also had great therapuetic massages from Chase. I have been going to Physical Therapy for a medical problem, and when I explaned it to Chase, he was very knowledgeable and his massage was miraculous! Every person I have worked with on their staff is talented, professional and very client focused! No matter what service you need, you will find someone special to help you at Jon Rics!
