very sad 12/30/2010

I went to this day care and when I went into the 2 year old room I saw one teacher with over 10 children and I though that was too many 2s for one teacher and the other teacher was in the other room. The children where not safe in my mind more

Sad... 10/22/2010

These reviews are very sad, I went here and to the one on Irving when I was a child in the 80's and it was such an amazing school, with amazing teachers and staff...This was long before they bought the school in Prospect Heights. I have such great memories of the other kids and my teachers, it breaks my heart to hear that this school has gone so far down in quality. more

STAFF ARE NICE BUT NOT EXACTLY CLEAN 8/6/2005

We checked out this play school to see if it was a good quality care center for our daughter. We were greeted by a friendly staff member when we arrived, which gave us a good first impression. But as we toured the center we found that the staff did pay a lot of attention to the children and their needs. As the staff are mainly focused on the children the cleanliness of this center has fallen to a not acceptable level. If this place had of been clean we would have considered it for our daughter, but cleanliness is something you cant compromise on and risk the health of your child. more

From the perspective of a volunteer 7/30/2005

I used to volunteer here for service hours so I got to experience first-hand how this day care was run. The children had playtime, classroom sessions, nap time, snack time, and storytelling. The daycare went into the late afternoon and was very typical save for a few things. The lady who ran the whole thing was good with the kids though rather strict. From my perspective, I think she could have been more attentive to the kids - instead I think she kind of instilled some fear in them. Whether this is a healthy tactic, I don't really know. What makes this daycare a great choice however is its large playground in the back. It's a large area with lots to do and offers the kids a great environment to interact in. If I were a kid, this would be great. The educational component was also a good idea. more
