Rudest Bus Company Ever 5/11/2010

I called this company for a price on a bus. The woman who answered the phone was polite but it was obvious that she didn't know what she was doing. Apparently, only one person at the company is able to give out prices. It took all day for this person (Melissa I think) to call me back. When she finally called me back, she sort of gave me a price. She said it would be this much money. Then there may or may not be additional charges on top of that. It would depend on whether or not there are parking fees or other such charges. Then she went on to say that while we weren't using the bus she would have to secure a hotel room for the driver. Something about DOT laws that require he be in a hotel room. This was only for a single-day trip, but whatever, I am sure there are some rules about this stuff. I tried to find out what it was going to cost, and Melissa just got snarky. I thought bus companies did this kind of stuff all the time. We were going to a big city and I thought she should have researched what costs might be incurred. She seemed annoyed that she had to call me back about the bus in the first place. I told her I didn't feel her answers and attitude were very appropriate, and I asked to speak to someone else. Then she said maybe you should just call Martz (another bus company). She quickly added that she would get someone to speak to me. A man named Dave got on the phone and told me he was an owner. The man was rude and insulting. I asked him if he realized that I was a customer. His response was that he had all the authority to make decisions for the company. I realize all of this sounds very confusing. I felt the same after my experience. I just couldn't make sense of it at all. Are there so few buses to be had that this company feels entitled to treat their customers poorly? Anyway, I decided to just contact some other companies tomorrow. If the owner and office staff are this obnoxious, what kind of experience would we have with their bus/driver? Pros: The buses aren't super old Cons: Rude more
