I love sushi. I was practically raised on it. Luckily for me, I live in Sonoma County, California, where fresh, high quality fish is easily accessible, and due to the Californian tendencies in cuisine, sushi restaurants abound.
I had passed by Jojo's any number of times, maybe gotten take out from them once, but never gave them a real chance. Then one day, I was having a mad craving that could only be cured by some Japanese rice, cucumber salad and super-fresh fish. I was also too lacking in funds to go to one of the more expensive sushi places I often frequented. I knew that Jojo's was affordable, and that my budget could be stretched to cover a small splurge there.
Not only did the price fit my wallet's needs, the food fit my taste-buds' needs as well! To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The food wasn't just good, passable, something to fend off the cravings--it was awesome! In all honesty, it was better than a few other local places that charge a fair amount more. And the presentation was fabulous. An important part of Japanese food is the presentation, but some places do a bit of a halfway job on it. Jojo's, however, obviously believes in doing their best, all around--From flavor to presentation, they made my night!
